My question is How do some people still survive?
same question I ask myself. We're Nigerians being over paid? No salary increase yet everything gone up. Sometimes I console myself and say it was not a coup we ( many Nigerians) called, demanded, chanted and voted for this govt which someone who was not under a spell would tell you they APC party came to power lying to Nigerians. What opened my eyes to the deceit was their promise of USD

How I even involved myself in arguments supporting this illiterate called Buhari during the last election is still a mystery to me.

It took me MONTHS to discover that APC and Buhari are clueless and never prepared to rule this country. It's like they never thought Jonathan will be defeated.

Sadly, A looting PDP Era is now better than the self acclaimed corruption fighting government of APC.

2019 is here anyway, I'm ready to correct the mistake. grin

APC=CHAIN!!!

yes oo i did not vote in 2015, But in 2019 PMB all the way..

Is only zombies who doesn't know that Buhari's reign is a total setback to Nigeria.

When Nigerians were clamouring for change, we never knew the incoming change is on the negative side.

It has never been like this.

You just saw an objective comparison of costs in 2015 vs 2017. What has this got to do with bad belle? Do you really care about the name of the party in power when prices have jump 3x-5x on commodities? When things improve, you can kindly also provide an objective comparison of costs.

You can vote a dog for all I care I don't give a damn! I just want to correct an impression - crude oil prices Started falling in 2013 and fell below 30 USD in 2014 and maintained that low till 2015; yet things weren't this bad.

I don't know why you people would never tell yourselves the truth.

If the problem was all about low oil prices and corruption, why is it that even with the appreciating price, the economy still remains in shambles. Why is it that even with the "massive looting" that took place under the previous admin, it never got this bad?

This administration pack lacks what it takes to maintain a stable economy. They lack the know how and policies to alleviate the sufferings of the masses on the economical haemorrhage they've made the country pass through.

These facts are glaring yet we still support the rubbish! Nonsense!

At times I wonder how people still survive in this hell hole of a country

Some of these increases are artificially orchestrated by the retailers to rip off customers while others are as a result of the ripple effect of dollar scarcity and increment in the cost of basic goods.

All-in-all, the fact that the government allowed this inflation to persist for over a year shows that they are clueless. In saner climes, citizens would have protested and made their representatives at the legislative arm kick out the government but Nigeria is not a sane clime.

As Prof Tanure Ojaide said "we go dey chop akara dey go if moin-moin no dey". Nigerians do not ask for the best but make do with what they are given; this is both a blessing and a curse.

You couldn't have said it better. That last quote by d Prof is exactly what's happening to us. And like u said it's both a blessing and a curse.

Bros it makes things worse. Alcohol , smoking and substance abuse is soon followed by depression and then sucide. It's really bad but then again find cover in the Lord. Bro.
That's the only way out. I lie you not , just seek cover in the Lord Jesus Christ.
That's my only hope for now.
