DELAYED SALARIES: LUTH RESIDENT DOCTORS STAGE PROTEST
source: http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2017/05/delayed-salaries-luth-resident-doctors.html

It was a tense atmosphere at the gates of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Ara as the three main entrance gates of the hospitals were put under lock by the armed policemen following a protest by the health workers over unpaid salaries.
The protest march which occurred yesterday, May 24, 2017, was staged by the members of the Joint House unions and the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) over the delayed salaries of its members.
It was gathered that the entrance to the hospital was locked following an order from the Chief Security Officer of the facility in order to prevent the protesters from gaining entrance into the hospital facility.
Speaking on the incident, the President of the LUTH chapter of the Association of Resident Doctors, Dr. Adebayo Sekumade, explained to Eyes Of Lagos that the doctors held the protest over unpaid salaries, poor working conditions and other grievances within the hospital.
Dr. Sekumade lamented the poor, deteriorating state of the hospital adding that there are no materials such as needles, syringes, latex gloves, adequate power supply and more for doctors to work with.
The group however appealed to the Federal and State governments to intervene and resolve the matter in order to prevent industrial disharmony.

Why! Why!! Why!!!, I have been wondering how on earth people can be so heartless. You go wake up 5:30-6:00am to avoid been late from work, pass through all sort of risk for waking up at so early.. Some of the children of these days sef doesn't have the privilege to see either of their parent in morning because they left for work early.

Repeatedly, this will continue for the whole working day and yet at the end of the MONTH.. You go dey hear all sort of excuses about non payment of salary.

To all those who are been affected, i share your plight because i be Salary Earner too.. Because Salary Wey No Dey Even reach or cater for the whole wont still no dey come intime.

GOD IS WATCHING YOU ALL WHO MIGHT HAVE LEAD TO THIS IN HD..

Make i Sip My Coffee..

The governor should do the needful urgently. The health sector is a very crucial one.

Na Wa o
Anyway delayed salary is better than half salary and half better than none.
In other words, LUTH much better than Lautech Osogbo and Osogbo better than Lautech Ogbomoso.

FG do the right thing and pay up!

This is the reason Nigerian leaders should be made to use Nigerian hospitals, rather than run away abroad.
Re: Delayed Salaries: Luth Resident Doctors Stage Protest by Nigeriadondie: 8:59am On May 26, 2017
lipsrsealed When Mugabe of Zimbabwe said his country was better than Nigeria people came up to attack him. Many Nigerians are deluding themselves thinking that Nigeria is better than many African countries perharp cos of the giant of African status. It is a big lie cos some of the countries have far better infrastructure than Nigeria.
Also the useless ruling class have their salries paid but people who render essential services and paid peanuts are still denied their their little pay. When this doctors and other skilled people leave for abroad, some idiots wud say they are not patroitic when infact the useless country doesnt appreciate them. This discourages those abroad that wish to return from doing so. Nigeria is cursed beyond any blessing and it is doomed beyond any redemption. Nigeria is just a waste of space. Even its useless leaders have no faith in the nation that is y they go abroad for treatment, send their wards abroad to school. Yesterday even the senate admitted that the power sector is hopeless after Saraki himself went to Germany early this year claimimg that his visit wud enhance Nigeria's power sector. Ababio claimed to build the most equipped specialist hospital in Nigeria to avoid medical tourism yet he was in the UK for treatment. If a nation is governed by leaders who have no faith then any of the masses that does have faith is fooling him/herself
