Is it religiously ok if you offend someone, you acknowledge you have but rather ask God forgiveness instead of the person you hurt.

Are you absolved of that sin?, do you necessarily have to meet ask for forgiveness from whom you've offended? Or is it ok if we just confess to God and ask Him to forgive us.

I think it was clear in the bible.. Jesus charged us to go seek forgiveness/forgive our brother or sister whom we have offended or have offended us before coming to give offering
