The much talked about alliance between the Action Congress (AC) and the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) has collapsed. The final nail in the coffin of the alliance was driven in this morning in Abuja when Vice President Atiku Abubakar declared that he would contest the April presidential election. There had been speculations that either Atiku would step down for Major. Gen. Mohammed Buhari, the ANPP presidential candidate or vice versa during the presidential election. But the vice president put paid to all the speculations at the formal opening of his campaign headquarters in Abuja this morning when he declared that he would not step down for anybody during the elections |

The man is trying to portray himself as a saint to gain political followership and to score cheap political points - Nigerians will remember he is part of the same government for more than 8 years - whatever failure this government has - he himself had been part and nothing will exonorate him - or is he saying he had been quiet for 8 years? If he had been quiet for 8 years, then he doesnt have the good of Nigerians at heart - let him just wise up. |

There is no point discussing this issue of Buhari and Atiku because they share different political ideologies. The motive behind there alliance is to rest power from PDP and not because they have the intrest of Nigerians at heart. While Buhari does not believe in Corruption Atiku cherish and adore it. While Buhari has zero tollerance for religion, Atiku is Liberal as far as religion is concern. Buhari wants to make the same record OBJ has added to his credit. Former Millitary Head of State to be elected as the President in a democratic setting. Atiku wants to be the first Vice President to be elected a President in the history of Nigeria. All are for selfish gains. |
