AYODELE Fayose, Ekiti State Governor, has warned the Federal Government that the ultimatum given to Igbos living in the North could lead to anarchy, if not checked.

According to him, the trend of statements credited to some elements in the North has shown clearly that Nigeria is no longer one.

He said this while reacting to a quit notice served on the Igbo in the north by the Coalition of Northern Groups, and which was recently backed by some northern elders, including a former Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Prof. Ango Abdullahi.

Fayose said the unity of the nation was threatened like never before in the history of the country.

He blamed this on the non-challant attitude of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress’ Federal Government.

Fayose lamented that the gap among ethnic groups in Nigeria had widened beyond measure because of the body language of President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

“We are more divided than ever. The elements are emboldened because they believe their person is in office and nothing would happen.

“This is not surprising to some of us as the herdsmen set the tone and became notorious under the watch of Buhari.

“If this continued, it would further heat up the already tensed situation and promote further distrust among ethnic groups in the country.”

Fayose urged the federal government to accept responsibility for the trend and called for a decisive action to stop it.

“Buhari’s government has not taken responsibility; no responsible government would encourage this. It is an empty threat that if not checked would snowball. This is why people are calling for restructure.

“The government should take responsibility and take decisive actions on those promoting war situation in our country.”

The governor also called on security agencies to invite Abdullahi for questioning.

“It is disheartening that a personality like (Ango) Abdullahi would support that; that’s danger lurking in the country.

“He should be invited for questioning by security agencies. Leaders should rise up and condemn this instead of giving tacit support to the ultimatum.

“So many lives have been lost due to the lackadaisical attitude of the Federal Government. All these I saw when I warned that Buhari would leave our country worse than he met it in 2015.”

Let us do this thing for once, let this country break it is obvious we don't want to live together. The north should go away biafra should gain their independence if that is what we want.

In NIGERIA something happens, there is reaction, then counter reactions, this leads to public reactions leading to a chain reaction until another reaction comes up to a different story.
Fayose has just stated the obvious, our leaders need to be proactive. The herdsmen crises didnt start today, we just allowed it to fester and degenerate to this level.

We have told our people in the North to start coming back home, but if anyone of them feels like ignoring our call and stays back with the hope that the five women wrapper from SE who couldn't handle a smaller challenge when it fell on their shokoto would come and save them when it starts happening is Sokoto, then I won't feel pained if anyone of them eventually gets killed in the avoidable madness.

All the Biafrans in the north should come back first and observe events from your comfort zone while you're still alive, A word is enough for the WISE.

" WHERE IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD DOES AGITATION FOR INDEPENDENCE VITIATE THE RIGHTS OF A PEOPLE TO ASSETS THEY LEGALLY ACQUIRED IN OTHER CLIMES?

The more I read or listen to certain narratives and spins in the social media of what will happen to Ndi Igbo when they secure an Independent and autonomous home nation, the more my eyes are opened to the depraved/abysmal level of crass ignorance and shallowness of minds of a majority of us .

Please can someone explain to me how the eviction order or eviction of Ndi Igbo from properties, businesses , houses and assets they legally acquired in the North translate to them having a sovereign homeland ?

Please, where in the whole wide world have a people or nation been denied access to their assets in other parts of the world , because they broke away from their former state ?

The old Malaysia , made up of Malays and Singaporeans gained independence from the British , almost the same periods Nigeria gained independence from the British .

But in 1965,.without warning , the majority mainland Malays moved a motion in parliament exorcising the tiny island of Singapore from their barely 6 years union . The Singaporeans wept , cried and picked up the pieces of their lives to build their own nation .

Please I want to ask those doubling down on this wicked narratives of Igbo losing their assets in the North this simple questions , ..,

Did the exorcism of Singapore from Mainland Malaysia in 1965, by the overwhelmingly majority Malays deny the Singaporeans who owned assets in mainland Malaysia access and rights to their properties ?

Did Malays confiscate their properties because they were kicked out of Malaysia. ?

Were the Singaporeans prepared for the sudden jolt they got when Malaysian without warning sent them packing out of their old union put together before the British left ?

Honestly , it is the crude, unthinking, herd , wicked, perverse and animal nature of a majority of us that twist out minds to believe that if their is a Biafran nation today , that Ndi Igbo will lose their rights to all their assets in other parts of Nigeria .

Please kindly note that it is not every Igbo man that wants an independent state . Those Igbos , who do not want to relocate can pledge allegiance to the government of whereever they are and remain there. They can also naturalize . No problem . Are there no Arabs in the Jewish home state of Israel? 20% of the population of the Jewish state of Israel are Arabs. They are even in their parliament.

Those who are driving this wicked narrative and stoking up such needless fears, which seek to use the Igbo investment of over N44trillion in North to blackmail a legitimate agitation are part of the major problems of Nigeria - IGNORANCE AND PERVERSION .

We should stop lending ourselves or our walls to be used to spread this false and warped narratives" Dr. Nnaemeka Obiareri
