Bounce rate and exit rate. It is important to know that bounce rate does not lie; however, you can be deceived by it. There is bounce rate and exit rate, these two has clear difference between them.

I want you to understand that a high bounce rate is not as bad as it has always been preached. I will explain and make you understand bounce rate better so as to avoid some very common mistakes.

What Bounce Rate Means

Bounce rate also misunderstood with exit rate is one of the Internet marketing terms used in analyzing web traffic flow on a website. It measures the percentage of visitors that comes to a website and then leaves the website also – this process is referred to as "bounce".

It is called bounce because rather than staying much longer on the website and click through to view other pages in the same site, they clicked away asap. It means: a visitor came, and then left at the same time.

Ways To Reduce Your Site’s Bounce Rate

In this section, I will be sharing with you some well tested ways to reduce the bounce rate of your website. In other words, how to make visitors stay longer enough on your website.

1. Configure your website to load as fast as possible

Every internet user either on mobile device or computer loves a fast loading webpage.

It has been proven that internet users endures for 3-5 seconds for a webpage to load, after which they click away – bounce.

2. Satisfy your website visitor

This is the point where a bit of SEO content is required. Strive to make sure that your site visitor gets what he searched for when he queried the search engine.

For instance, if a user is searching for the keyword “Data Recovery Software” on the search engine, and your site was generated, it will be very good your site talks about the said keyword and not something else. Your site should at least give basic details about data recovery software.

3. Don’t use too many ads and pop-ups

When users are welcome to your site by pop ups and too many ads, it becomes annoying and the next action will be to click away. Even your pop up email subscription box can annoy a visitor to your site.

4. Insert internal links
