It's not that they are paying them from their own pocket. It is already in the budget.

OP should have clarified that it's not the senators and Honorable members that are responsible for the payment of Aides salaries. The National Assembly has permanent staff, headed by the Chief Clerk and it is from there their salaries are received. They're still owing me 5 months salary since 2015.

Upon all the monies these lawmakers are collecting, they are still owing their aides salaries and allowances.

The aides in their numbers this morning staged a protest at the National Assembly over non-payment of their salaries and allowances by the National Assembly management.

Point of correction, it is not the lawmakers that is owing them. It is the NAss management and this is as a result of the disunity amongst some of the so-called Aides Forum leaders.

The Nass Management succeeded in allowing them not to have one voice by corrupting and manipulating the National Assembly Legislative Aides Forum (NASLAF) Excos thereby denying them of their salaries and allowances. No training as usual for aides, no more DTA, even severances are paid months after the dispensation.

I expect the Aides to be smarter and understand politics more than the management staff of the National Assembly who now see them as laughable comedians who are only chasing shadows and does not know their rights.

What has NASS done for the country, except to share money meant to provide constant Nepa, drugs for hospitals and destroy the destiny of our future leaders, with unemployment.
