tartarus:Always best to here a story from both sides no matter what the first presenter claims. You never know. The story didn't have details of how exactly her leg got broken so i can't draw conclusions. One thing i know is that the man couldn't have been a madman. see how everybody is liking and sharing your comment impulsively. U try. |

thornapple: Case has been taken to court, first hearing held, the accused granted bail, he met the bail conditions and then jumped bail and fled to Canada! Do you need CCTV confirmation or Holy Ghost revelation? This matter is already beyond speculation and he is at least already guilty of jumping bail which is a criminal act under our laws and he should be in jail when apprehended by the Interpol. |
Re: Ivie Edobor, Victim Of Domestic Violence Marks 1st Anniversary (Photo) by Nobody: 11:12pm On Jun 20, 2017 |
kjhova: Your logic is good but IMO the only confirmed crime is jumping bail. That someone was released on bail in Nigeria doesn't mean he's guilty as charged. Haven't you heard of the poor girl who was been owed a paltry #6k but rather than pay her her hard earned sweat her debtor put her behind bars. The case went to court and she was asked to pay #50k for bail. That was injustice upon injustice. |

thornapple: Whatever you do, my good friend, please keep yourself away from civil and criminal offences. I say this because many Nigerians appear not to be used to the justice system and always end up in shock by how it works. Jumping bail is a worse offence than battery and if the defendant/accused is willing to commit a greater offence to escape justice from the initial charge, how else is his guilt in doubt? As for the other case you mentioned, your point is still revelation of the limited understanding of how the justice system works worldwide. Please find my comment on that topic below: kjhova: 2 Likes |

kjhova:I am not a lawyer. you have spoken like one in support of injustice as long as i am concerned. i wish this story will spread among Nigerians to spark a protest. The rich oppressing the poor is what this is all about. That judge lacks conscience in keeping the girl behind bars. Don't tell me you are like minded. |

funkyfrevy: Whether she was a good or a bad wife is not in contention here. She had left him, had moved in with her boyfriend (bad wife as you call her), why did he follow her? Why fight her? Why did he let the devil use him like this? Now that he has jumped bail and run to the US, how will he ever clear his name? Even from his own story, he agreed he went to look for trouble but that it was the boyfriend that hit her. 2 Likes |

thornapple: Ok pal, I can relate to your honest desires. However, as you go further in life and achieve big things and do deals in different places, you are gonna find out that life is not fair and it has never been. Their are rules guiding how things work. The more you understand these rules, the better your lot. The less you figure out, the more likely to be damned. Dude is accused of battering his wife and he jumps bail...case closed. Aunty "18years old" sends death threats via SMS to former boss and is arrested and prosecuted...case goes on and she'd be remanded if she can't meet bail conditions. And to you, my dear friend, please don't resort to self help should someone owe you money. The 18 years' old could have gone to the police or to court in the first instance. |

kjhova:You have stated good points i agree with. Thanks for your advise. Won't forget them. On the other hand you'll agree with me that going by the attitude of the NPF the girl wouldn't have been helped had she gone to them. The best they would have done is to advise her to move on. That is after collecting #2k for her to make her statement. I have seen or heard this happen a couple times. |
