At least 30 people have died, 12 people remain in critical care, and about 50 still missing after a huge fire engulfed a west London tower block in the early hours of Wednesday. 40 fire engines and more than 200 firefighters went to tackle the blaze. The cladding installed on the tower in a recent renovation has come under scrutiny, with experts saying a more fire resistant type could have been used. Faith in Humanity restored. Kind-hearted locals have donated thousands of items to the families made homeless by the blaze. You always read about people coming together in a time of crisis, so much so that it’s become a bit of a cliche. But seeing this principle in action for the first time has made me understand what it really means. 4 Likes
