Not that God doesn't have a character, God doesn't have a definite character. It can change.

Change and patterns of change are part and parcel of character.

Some people can go straight from deep sleep to wide awake in a matter of nano seconds. That is a character trait. Other people have the trait to wake up very slowly, rubbing their eyes and stumbling around in a daze for a few minutes before they full wake up.

So the manner of change from one state to another is another aspect of character.

In fact there is a whole science and area of mathematics dedicated to this. It is called Calculus. It is a study of how different systems change and what it is about the characteristics of the system that make it behave the way it does. In other words its character as a Dynamic System.

Another example would be to say, like in the bible, that 'God is slow to anger'. That is a character trait. The way he changes, slowly, or fast, explosively or gently, etc etc.
