Is sexual intercourse the only avenue?
Is promiscuity the only cause?

My results posted
I have the virus
I've earned the stigma
Friends who know broadcast
Haters who know mock
My family is ashamed of me
Everyone avoids me
I'm sick, yes
But I'm not the sickness itself
Why am I dreaded?
No one smiles at me.
There are drugs to lengthen my life
I don't have to die prematurely
I still have hope
I still have a future
I can even have children without infecting anyone
Maybe I can't breastfeed my baby
But if someone will hold my hand
I'll make it out
My heart is not diseased too
I still love my family and friends
I still love fashion and modelling
I still want to be an engineer
Hold my hand please
You can't get it from the surface
And I don't want you to contact it either

NOTE:
*There are so many ways of getting the virus, it's not only through sex.
*People with the virus don't have to die prematurely, there are Anti-retroviraldrugs. It doesn't cure it, but it helps lengthen the lifespan of the affected.
*The virus cannot be contacted through physical contact.
*Be careful with sharp objects: clippers, razors, syringes and needles, the virus can be gotten by using unsterilized sharp objects.
*Blood should be properly tested before transfusion by hospitals
*Having the virus is not the end of the world, you can still be all that you've dreamed of being.
*Don't go spreading the virus knowingly or unknowingly, it doesn't change anything. Get tested today and know your status.
*Remember to Abstain, Be faithful or Condomise to be safe.
