Abuja High Court Refuses To Stop INEC On Melaye’s Recall by Annibel(f): 8:03pm On Jul 06, 2017
Embattled Senator Dino Melaye failed on Thursday July 6 in his bid to stop the ongoing recall process by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The Nation reports that Justice John Tsoho in an ex-parte ruling rejected Melaye’s motion for a temporary injunction restraining INEC from proceeding with the recall process until the determination of suit challenging his recall.

NAIJ.com gathered that instead, the judge ordered parties in the case to “maintain status quo pending the hearing of the motion on notice.”

But Melaye is already celebrating that the Court urges status quo be maintained.

There's a mix up somewhere.

By the time the court resume on 29th of september 2017, according to INEC time table the verification exercise would have been over.

Dino was simply playing on the intelligence of Nigerians. The court's pronouncement didn't say the recall should be halted.

This is the true position of what transpired today at the federal high court and not the lies earlier reported by Dino. The recall process continues as planned since the the court did not grant any injunction halting the process.

Because the judge said the status quo in response to the ex parte motion moved by his counsels, the witless ignoramus came to twitter to stick his rotting tongue without having an actual clue of what the judge meant....
After now, he'll be lying that he's educated.

Status quo is that the recall process goes on as planned before the case was instituted. No injunction, no stay of proceedings and nothing changes.

Haaaaa! Been long ooo! Saraki Warrior. Where have you been?
Don't carry Dino matter on your head ooo, he doesn't have kobo to give you unless you will add his bill to Saraki's.

All I know is Dino won't be returned to the Senate after 2019. Our Judiciary is in shambles but the people will take their stand in next election.

Very interesting politics going on in Kogi. In as much I don't like Yahaya Bello, but I love the way he kept his enemy (Dino) with a puzzle to get busy with, now Dino is running around for a solution to his problem hence he has little time for his enemy. Always keep your enemies busy

Off course "status quo" is that Dino remains a Senator...a Senator, whose recall process has not being stopped by the court's ruling.

So what exactly was Senator Melaye celebrating on twitter
