Dike Chibuike Uche is a young African entrepreneur and researcher who spotted a unique UK work program that he wants to introduce to Nigerians of all ages and backgrounds.

What caught his attention about this UK work program was the new and innovative way it encouraged job seekers to approach the way they apply for jobs and the way they approach job interviews.
Traditionally a job applicant sends a CV (Curriculum Vitae) which usually comprises of the applicants work and educational history and achievements.
However, this new approach advocated by the UK program impressed Dike Uche because of its simplicity and the potentially powerful impact it could have on a prospective employer.
Basically, the UK program advocates that in the job applicant’s CV or job application form he/she informs the prospective employer that he/she will be bringing a JOB PORTFOLIO to their interview that will showcase samples of actual work they have done in the past.
Dike Uche was struck by the realization that only 5% of the work force attends a job interview with a JOB PORTFOLIO and they were more likely job applicants like architects and designers. It was blindingly obvious to him that job applicants like designers would never dream of attending an interview without a JOB PORTFOLIO containing samples of their designs. For them their JOB PORTFOLIOS was hard evidence of their potential – ‘seeing is believing’.
Clearly this was something that the remaining 95% of the workforce could not do. No previous employer would allow an ex-employee (or current employee) to take samples of work they have done to a job interview with another company.
Dike Uche felt he had stumbled upon an amazing program that could so easily help millions of job seekers in Nigeria. This was a work program that enables anyone, from whatever background and experience to create a JOB PORTFOLIO to take to job interviews. With the help of UK companies who support this program millions of Nigerians can do work experience in Nigeria for these UK companies and use samples of actual work they do, to build a JOB PORTFOLIO.
