*The Moment of Truth In Anambra State Governance*
It's very funny or surprising that Anambra State is sinking. Anambra is one of the most successful states in Africa as a whole with blessed academicians, business men, industrialists, good leaders and all related economic achievers or contributors.
Anambra State was carved out from old Anambra with other state in the south east, but ever since then it has witnessed a lot of leaders or governance. Out of the five democratic governors, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Dr. Barr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju, Dr. Chris Ngige, Sir Peter Obi and Chief Willie Obiano.
Under Dr. Ezeife, employment was the other of the day, including drainages, empowerment, promotion of civil servants, etc recorded in his aborted government.
Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju era was known for one singular thing, he introduced security operatives known as Bakassi Boys with little substandard roads etc.
Dr Chris Ngige brought his wealth of experience to set standard in roads construction with serious supervision by himself in all the projects he engaged although he has short term stayed.
Sir Peter Obi mimic his predecessor quality projects setup and introduced what he called simultaneous development in all the sectors, developing it randomly. Before Sir Peter Obi left office he told Ndi Anambra that his successor will continue from where he will stop but today, the reverse is the case.
Chief Willie Obiano is the incumbent governor of Anambra State who publicly accepted continuity of every kind from his predecessor but today non of those simultaneous developments have been achieved.
Analytical views or popular opinions from Ndi Anambra State are that the next or incoming Governor will suffer economic boost or growth because Chief Willie Obiano has took Anambra State back to olden days.
Sir Peter Obi received less allocations, yet saved and left billions for his successor Chief Willie Obiano, who received more than Obi's period and borrowed more billions which will stagnate development by 2018.
All the unfinished projects started by Peter Obi that were handed over to him are nothing to talk about . Abandonment of State properties are the name he inherited.
Coming to minor community developments, it sounds prematurely to use or siphone poor masses common wealth from Federal Allocation and all related revenue collected without recourse. For instance, you are holding my billions at end of the day you will bring or offer me little cash and call it operation choose your projects. Calculate total billions of naira allocated to Anambra State so far then check out the magnitude of backwardness in community development?
Mathematicians introduced almighty formular when ever the case is difficult to solve, yes there's solution.
Ndi Anambra will not fold their hands while the ship is sinking. We must solve our problems with youthful brain, everyday our elders will kept telling us that the young shall grow, but when?
Dr. Tony Okechukwu Nwoye is good to go because of his leadership qualities, he's not up to two years in the Federal House of Reps yet his attitude, actions and marvelous developments in his consistency sound like six term representations, so energetic, influential, caring, full of technical know how, ethical, discipline, unquestionable character and bearing poor masses problems at heart etc.
Let's support Youth agenda for next governorship, Dr. Tony Nwoye will surely make us proud .
