A man identified as Sa'adu Abubakar has lost two wives and six children in flash floods that occurred as a result of heavy downpour in some localities around Suleja, a Niger State neighbourhood in Abuja.

Over ten persons who were washed off by the surging floods are presumed dead as residents seek the intervention of emergency services.

The coffee shop owner told TVC that he lost his family in the disastrous flooding that begun on Saturday night and lasted for over ten hours while also leaving him homeless.

While the corpse of one of Sa'adu's wife has been recovered, families and members of the community are out on search for the remaining dead bodies.
