Ndume: Buhari's Medical Vacation Has No Time Limit

*Says President not incapacitated
Former Senate Majority Leader, Mohammed Ndume, has said President Muhammadu Buhari’s ongoing medical vacation has no time limit and questioned the propriety of the demands by some some Nigerians for full disclosures on the President’s health. The senator also assured Nigerians that Buhari, though still ill, is not incapacitated.

He said: “Most Nigerians are ignorant that the medical vacation of an executive (president or governor) as provided in the Nigerian constitution has no limitation.

He made the disclosures while speaking to journalists in Maiduguri on Sunday evening.

Ndume who is presently suspended from the Senate, said the call to have the president’s health status made public was not right as it is a security issue.

He said information linked to the President has shown that he is still aware of happenings around him and has been in constant touch with the Acting President to offer advice on governance.

He said the only thing missing at the Presidency was Muhammadu Buhari as a person but the country has not ceased from moving.

He said what the president deserves is the Prayers of all Nigerians not the clamour in some quarters that he should resign.
Ndume argued that since there was no evidence indicating that the president is incapacitated he has no time frame for how long he could be away sick and Nigerians should take solace in the fact that the country is not on a standstill.
He said: “What the constitution requires is for the President to write to the Senate and House of Representatives which he did and asked the Vice President to act as President which is in order.”
He added that: “The Vice President is acting as President successfully in consultation with the President. Everybody knows that the acting President has been consulting the President or in contact with the President as he acts as President hence there are things the Acting President will do without asking anybody and there are things he will do after consultation with the President which is normal and democratic.”
He said: “What President Buhari deserve from Nigerians are prayers not bad wishes or insults for ruling and saving Nigeria from collapse and destruction. Nigeria was in bad shape and almost at the stage of collapse when President Buhari took over the mantle of leadership of the country.
“All he deserves is prayers not curses from Nigerians. I am surprise and worry to hear Nigerians wishing death for their President, instead of being grateful and prayerful.”
He argued that: “Other Presidents in USA, Germany, Britain and other developed counties of the world that we claimed we are copying their democracy, ruled countries in illness and incapacitation but still nobody in their countries complained in the manner Nigerians are doing about their President.
“Whether Buhari is in Nigeria or not, the Government will continue and Buhari is only a person not a country but our leader and a popularly elected President which should be regarded and respected for the good things he has done and peace he has brought to our country not insults or curse or bad wishes.
“We are in democracy and politics is all about governance while the leadership of the country is on course except for the usual problem of hurry, hurry and impatience we have in Nigeria.”

If Nigeria were to be Buhari's boss, he'd have been sacked for leaving his duty for two months. Indeed Nigeria is his boss but the cabals and polithiefcians alike have made Nigeria more incapacitated than Buhari.

The truth about Buhari will come out soon. Dora Akunyili was bold enough to declare Yaradua's death, somebody will definitely tell the truth about Buhari soon.

This can only happen in Nigeria,a President missing in office for almost two months yet we carry on as if nothing happened.

All we do is rant on social media and pages of news papers with no tangible result.

Ayam tired of this country.

This Boko idiot forgot the part where a sitting President can be removed from office on medical grounds.

The president's health status is a constitutional requirement.

The constitution lays the foundation for seeking office on the fundamental that one aspiring for the top job "must be of sound mind and body". This thus mandates any aspirant and or presiding President to leave no doubt on both their sanity and physical well being.

Since that fake pastor has no qualms taking orders from a bunch of unelected bureaucrats, I think it is high time the Senate move in and save what is left of our democracy and nation by impeaching both Buhari and his coordination house boy.

When a nation surrounds itself with a mediocre and
his likes to be at the helms of affairs, all you get is
first class foolishness and an excruciating hunger in the stomachs of the people. No nation that seeks
progress watches and claps while its president
occupies a state of vegetable and after upturning all
previous developmental gains, except that nation is
Nigeria. Can't we all see how foolish we have all being by keeping quite and not demanding for the right thing to be done? How can a man be hospitalize for, almost at a stretch,120 days and you still think that such
a man is not incapacitated? And this is coming for a supposed lawmaker and who didn't deem it fit to cite the relevant portion of the constitution that provides for such a perpetual medical vacation.
The most debilitating thing about this whole drama is the fact that it is the youth that will suffer the end product of this poor governance that has been urging the incompetent man to do as he wishes.
Nigeria is in the hands of some brutish men as leaders, but we used our hands to install them.

let referendum come so that the north with their high birth rate can use it and work for themselves rather than to use it to vote for national cake at the detriment of others, kano with their 3 million beggers will finally get 3 million people at the farm.
