The former President of Brazil, Luiz Inacio LuLa da Silva has been sentenced to jail.

This is a result of an ongoing rigorous national campaign against corruption in the South American country which has in a short while started


yielding results.

The Judge Sergio Moro said “this judgement does not bring the judge any personal satisfaction. but quite the contrary, that it is regrettable that a former President will be criminally convicted.it does not matter how high you are, the law is still above you ”

His jail time will last for Nine years and six month having being found guilty of receipt of bribe to the tune of 3.7 million Brazilian Real($1.1m) from an engineering firm, the Independent reports

His laywers Cristiano Martins and Valeska Martins responding to the court ruling said

“President Lula is Innocent.For over 3 year he has been subject

to politically motivated investigtion.No evidence of his guilt

has been produce and overwhelming blatant evidence of his

innocence ignored.We will prove Lula’s Innocence in all

unbiased courts including the United Nations”

Politricians are untouchable here because of ethnicity, religion, weak institutions and Constitution. they are above the law. I can understand that but waiting for trump to help with that is not feasible. You do not know trump like us that grew up in US. He's a bigot and I can site you so many instances of his bigotry apart from his garbage about Obama being born in Kenya ( Birtherism). Google Central Park 5 in a case that 4 young black men and 1 Latino young guy were arrested in Central Park for raping and killing a young white lady. The guys were prosecuted and found guilty but DNA found that the guys were innocent of the charges and they were released and the City of New York paid several Millions $ to each guy in settlement for wrongly prosecuting the innocent guys. Trump took an advertisement in all NY Dailies calling for death penalty for the guys after knowing they were found innocent through DNA. His father and him were sued by US Housing Dept. for not renting their apartment buildings to Blacks in Queens, NY and they had to settle with millions of $. Read about his thoughts on Eugenics. So many statements he had made over the years denigrating minorities. His calling a Federal Judge that was born in Indiana a Mexican that won't be fair to him because the Judge is of Mexican heritage. Many instances of his prejudices to give you but I don't want to belabor the point. How come over 90% of American Blacks voted against him ?. Infact overwhelming majority of Hispanics and Asians in America voted against him Do you guys know him better than us. Whenever he talks about Africa, it's always derogatory .
