Real Madrid are gearing up for their next round of preseason games. Their first game would be against Jose Mourinho’s men at the Santa Clara stadium on July 23.

Among the teams they would face in the International Champions Cup would be eternal rivals Barcelona. And just before the season kicks off, they would be a two-legged Spanish Super Cup between both teams again.

The midfielder told ESPN Brasil: “The off-pitch stuff does not affect the game,” he said. “But if we need to get stuck in, we do that.”

“If we need to play, we can do that too. We can be friends off the pitch, like when [Brazil teammate] Dani Alves was at Barca, but out on the pitch each one defends their own side.”
