dtush: I don't have much information about it too. You should be able to include him because a dependent child according to CIC is any child under 19 years of age (which will be increased to 22 years by 24th of October). 1 Like |

Good evening Bosses, I need an urgent advice . I'm filling the forms for our application ( Going for a PhD with my children age 2 accompanying me) I keep getting this info ' YOU DON'T NEED A VISA OR eTA anytime I input their country passport. They never had Nigerian Passports. They have done upfront medical because they are required to do that since they live here. Who has applied with their American child (ren) before? How did you succeed in filling out a form for them? I'm running against time. Please do help a sister. Thanks. |

Hi guys! I'm a silent reader of this thread. I'm 22 years old and I have a B.sc in public health(2.1) I just applied to Memorial university, Newfoundland for a second degree in nursing(2years fast track option) against Fall 2018. I have a question pls, should I wait till I'm offered admission before applying for study visa? Any relevant information will be appreciated, thanks! 1 Like |

dtush:Hello ma'am, If you had gone through few pages of this particular part of the thread, you would have seen similar situation of your bro as well as suggestions to the answer you seek. Nevertheless, the issue in his refused application is straight forward enough. 1. It appears the offer letter of admission from the DLI(school) was not included in previous application, ensure you include it in the next application showing details of the applicant and other necessary details. 2.Undergraduate study is usually financially demanding on the sponsor(s) or applicant. 4 years of financial commitment is no joke. Officers will not just ensure that the applicant meet the requirements but also determine that the financial support will be sustained. Not including your statement of account as the sponsor would have stalled officers from reaching a conclusion that you earn an income that is sustainable for you/family and the applicant. They will determine that funding will be sustainable in all circumstance(You,applicant and other miscellaneous spending) Pay his full tuition for one year, open a dom account and have an equivalent of 10,000CAD or more in it. Add your account statements with some available balance, if possible too, add any other source of income with proofs. Note: The stronger the financial capability(ies), the better. 3. Add an affidavit of financial support Regards. 1 Like |

dynamicdiva:Yes, you have to wait. The offer letter is one of the most important document to submit with your study permit application. All relevant information you need regarding the Canadian study, visa procedures and requirements are on this thread( this part and previous parts). Hello friends, my name is Kennedy, I really need ur help in visa processing. can I start processing my visa without paying acceptance fee to the sch, if yes pls how can I start the process? Thanks for ur awaiting answers.... |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Ope100(m): 11:55pm On Oct 17, 2017 |
Hi Kennedy. Congrats on getting your letter of acceptance. Your letter of acceptance will tell you if you need to pay an acceptance fee or not, if yes, you'll need to pay it before you apply for your visa as well as attach a proof of payment of your acceptance fee, usually in form of a receipt from your DLI Regards. oviemuno20: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Frankrobbn1: 12:14am On Oct 18, 2017 |
oviemuno20: Firstly let me ask you this question, Have you secured Admission in any DLI (Designated Learning Institution) if yes. Okay! It's not compulsory to pay for upfront tuition fees. But if you are using a third party sponsorship, it's important to do so. Then let your sponsor pay in your living Expenses to your dorm account as a proof of commitment. Once you have all the above mentioned in place, then you are good to kick start your application for visa. Get all necessary documents from your Sponsor, example... Bank statement for the past 6 months, letter of sponsorship, affidavit of sponsorship, proof of source of income, tax clearance certificate (if he owns a company), landed properties, sponspor intl passport bio data page (as a age declaration) etc... Then the rest will come from you as the applicant....i.e , letter of acceptance, letter of explanation (only if you have something important to clarify to the Visa officer), Academic transcripts etc.... I hope this helps. cheers! |

Hello everybody. For someone that is inadmissible to Canada due to misrepresentation, would it affect getting a US study visa? considering Canada and US share information. Thanks |

Austinpee4: Thanks a lot. I copied no 1 in error. It was not ticked. All they ticked was financial and all. Would you advise that we reapply asap. But the follow are some facts. After we submitted he transferred the 5m to me. To which I have used 2.5m to purchase dollars which is currently in my dom account. Because I got opportunity to purchase dollars at bank rate. I have some money. So I can submit my bank statements and investment again. I did a breakdown of what we earn from my parents landed properties to which some can be highlighted in my bank statement. I also intend to include my younger sister's bank statement and investment letter to proof she is not my dependent as she works now. I will also highlight inflows from my daughter's father. Showing he is financially responsible for her. Is it worth giving another shot The kind of business I do does not have structure. Cos it's buying and selling. Although I make about 200K monthly |

maygreaves: This is actually a good advice, those that are finding it difficult to get admission, extend your search to NewFoundland, Nova Scotia and Labrador, places less populated. It's cheaper and cut offs reduced. I think these are some of the most beautiful and untainted part of Canada. But my recommendation has always fallen on deaf ears because Nigerians always want to be in big cities with diverse populations, where they can find Amala and goat head ingredients. 12 Likes |

Good day Everyone! Can anyone here be kind enough to provide advice on my situation. I have been a silent reader for some time now after several rejections from three canadian school ( carleton, mcgill, manitoba). Schools and Programs i applied for: Carleton - Msc Computer Science Mcgill - Msc Electrical and Electronics Manitoba - Msc Computer Science My Background: I graduated from a ghanaian university in 2009 (i.e. 8 years ago) with a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (2.1). In 2010, after my nysc, i got a job with a business solution provider that deploys software applications like SAP, Sage and have been there since then. I have 2 SAP certifications (SAP Business One and Incident Management with SAP BusinessObjects). Within the years, i have grown to love working with computers and more of the technical aspect (troubleshooting networks, working with operating systems, custom reports using SQL queries etc) of the job as compared to the business consulting part. I got an opportunity to look into studying in canada also with the idea of staying afterwards and started applying last year. I understand that i don't have a background in computer science but was just hopeful that if i plea my case, and identify my roles and responsibilities over the years, i would be considered and probably be given the option to take some prerequisite course before the main msc program. Well, i guess i was wrong. At the moment i am not sure how to proceed and i am not even sure i would get admission to study electrical and electronics since it has been ages, my work experience is nothing close to electrical and electronics and i like to think 'that boat has sailed'. Does anyone have any advice as i would not want to miss admissions for 2018. Thank you guys very much. |
