Charlie Gard, the baby at the centre of a legal row over his treatment, has died, a family spokesman has confirmed.

The 11-month-old was moved to a hospice following a High Court ruling.
He suffered from an extremely rare genetic condition causing progressive brain damage and muscle weakness. Thw disease was a rare inherited mitochondrial disease which made him unble to move his arms and legs. Considered terminally ill, he also could not breathe unaided, see or hear.

His parents, Connie Yates and Chris Gard, fought a lengthy legal battle with Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) to allow him to be taken to the US for treatment.

I delivered an oral seminar presentation about this disease on the 13th of July, 2017.
Its called Mitochondrial DNA depletion syndrome. His type was the myopathic variant caused by a mutation to the gene coding for Thymidine Kinase 2..bla bla bla. All that.

I also talked about the boy, and the court cases between his parents and GOSH to take him to the US for the trial treatment called nucleoside bypass and d entire classroom fell silent.

It's a touching experience.
Well, its God's will. He has to rest peacefully.
