This is just the first step. Sacking him will only heat up the system from pro-yardua. When Mr Jonathan settles down he will be sacked, tried and most likely jailed. This is Naija, a country that knows how to reward both villians and heros in d same way.

Was happy to hear that. Goodluck should require the best performance from all his ministers without doing na we-we. I pray that Mr president Goodluck in his year left should just be a good supervisor to all the on going projects and not sign more and more projects; He should put a 90% freeze on spending for this year except in a very critical situation like natural disaster. The current money in Nigeria can be reasonably circulated and even able to attract more from just stabilizing or defining and applying intenal security measures. Which will attract tourism, encourage current investors and intrested investors to take a second hard and long term look.
He should just be a motivator to all Nigerians through speeches for this year while supervising, try making those speeches in schools(primary, secondary, technical, universities, etc) and current national project sites. This boosts national confidence especially now. This should be done across all the regions. He should preach unity, peace, respect of law and order, current projects and should really engage his ministers on delivering for the people.
One mistake would be to be falling over traditional thiefs(known as chiefs). He should not acknowledge traditional rulers this year or forever. Just let them rot, stop all their allowances, warn them against interfering with govt foundations and severly punish perpetuators. Encourage all Nigerians to appreciate and assist in their little way for the development of this great nation. Encourage Army, navy, and airforce to diversify but don't put too much pressure yet. Assemble your team in two main sections by having "the ones currently supervising and following up" with "the ones envisioning the elections and long term nigeria's improvements". It should settle the fear of reelection. Another bad mistake would be to acknowledge niger delta miltants than a group of riff raffs not willing to work but had a reason to be violent. Stick to the deal made by former president yaradua but make them know there is a time limit tied with proof of development. Make them workers to majority of the projects going on.
As for foreign policy. Don't make no drastic changes but DONT go for islamic countries association or whatever it is because we are not. Minimize arab ties and improve ties with southern Sudan. Increase searches on borders. Remember, many things to be done in nigeria are just the next steps. Talk about increasing police pay to congress and national citizens while you increase police sophistication and hire more police with qualification and make fingerprinting, biometrics, and training majority of the changes.
I wish president Goodluck the best in his responsibility regarding the nation. May God see him through the history of this nation and give him the opportunity to be on the good side of history. God bless Nigeria. Africa's largest democracy.
