Laughable. If people stayed back home out of fear of violence then it is fear of the Nigerian security forces. All the violence, shootings and killings has been Nigeria that did them. IPOB is not violent and is yet to touch anyone. The people know who is the violent side in this agitation. Everywhere Kanu goes, mammoth crowds come to welcome him. Its not difficult to see who the people support.

As for saying the dream is 'unrealisable', the same was said of Zik, Awolowo and co when they began their own agitation for independence.

It is impossible to hold anyone or any people against their will forever.

Nobody is going to do this again because it was done in 1967 to no avail. The onus now lies with Nigeria to show it is serious by granting referendum. Then people can can start relocating.



Secession is not just about solving ones problems, it is also about being free and controlling ones destiny. Scotland has been part of Britain for over 300 years, it didnt stop them agitating and getting a referendum on independence in 2014. No British persons has any grudge against the Scottish for doing this because the British are civilised enough to respect Scotlands right to self determination
