@kn23h

The Yoruba "Entrepreneur" will have to prepare countless proposals and quotations to big corporations and rich individuals before he can sell his watermelon juice.

The Igbo Businessman does not need to write any proposal because customers irrespective of class and social status will come to him because of the AFFORDABILITY AND SIMPLICITY of his business!

Now let's evaluate the successes to be recorded by both in a year:

YORUBA ENTREPRENEUR: Gets an average of say 3 contracts per month:

3 x 12=36...36 x 5= $180...We subtract the $1 each which was spent in buying each watermelon for the contracts...180 - 36= $144 per annum. (Minus his cost of preparing the proposals, his transportation to reach his client in their locations, the cost of power used in powering the blender used in making the juice, cost of website "they like internet and social media tinz wella", fuel to power the gen which will in turn power the blender etc) from the $144 and you can imagine how much he will be left with!

IGBO BUSINESSMAN: He stays put in his shop and people come to him. Let's say an average of 500 people come to him in a month to buy his water melons...

500 x0.5 = 250... 250 x 12 = $3000...Subtract the $1 each which was spent in buying each watermelon plus rent for his shop, tax from LIRS if he leaves in Lagos and his transportation to and fro to his shop from the house and he may be left with two thirds of the amount ($2,000) as his gain. (Remember, the igbo trader will make sure he has about 3 to 5 other shops in different areas of Lagos from Alaba to Idumota to Ikeja etc)

So the Igbo Businessman makes about $1500 per annum from his watermelon while Yoruba Entrepreneur makes about $100 per annum. When the Igbo trader after like 10 years decides to buy land in Lagos and builds an edifice and buys one "Grade 1" RX350, yorubas will say that it is money rituals or his brother in Malaysia that is pushing drugs who is responsible for his wealth.

MORAL: You all see the reason why Igbos succeed more in Business? It was this model that was used in their bounce-back after the war with just the £5 given to them. YORUBAS SHOULD LEARN MORE FROM THE IGBOS RATHER THAN HATING THEM

Great calculation. It's unfortunate that this doesn't reflect in real life. cool

Maybe you need to redo your calculation. Tell me why multiple Yoruba billionaires are featured in Forbes, but no Ibos are mentioned.

How did the "multiple" yorubas get their billions and what is their main stream of income if it is not "crude oil" or political affiliations. Which of them started their businesses from SCRATCH like the Coscharis, CEO of SLOT just to mention a few
