Dankwambo will be PDP's presidential candidate in 2019, take it or leave it. His experience as Accountant-General of the federation for 5 years (under Obasanjo), and Governor of Gombe for soon to be 8 years puts him head and shoulders above other wannabes. I foresee the three main presidential tickets in 2019 to be as follows: APC - El Rufai with Amaechi PDP - Dankwambo with Donald Duke/Osita Chidoka Independent - Atiku with Peter Obi/Soludo/Fayose. Aisha Buhari will be a senator in 2019, and could possibly be the next Senate president if the APC maintain their majority in the senate, and outmaneuver Saraki and his allies in the party. 1 Like |

Rokaa: If PDP is wiser, they should bring in a northerner as president and Igbo as vice president. Bring in makarfi from kano he is now very popular and detrabilised and make Peter Obi his vice president because of his technocrat background and investment and position a south west as for Senate maybe ayo fayose. Then Niger Delta speaker of reps Hopefully o.k.chinda. chairman board of NNPC from bayelsa and minister of petroleum from akwa ibom. Head of NDDC a deltan. 10% of national revenue should go to the NDDC monthly and should be managed by a technocrat with good track record for development. I don talk my own. |

sarrki: PDP isn't dead. We don't play partisan politics in Nigeria. We play people politics. Electorates vote for people not parties. With the right candidate, PDP may win. I hope it's not Buhari you're hoping to win cause that proves that indeed, you're not a patriot. Just another guy on Buhari's payroll or blinded by tribal and religious sentiments |

PDP's best bet in terms of competence is Ibrahim Dankwambo as Presidential Candidate and Peter Obi as VP. But I don't think it's best in terms of popularity esp as PDP is no longer in power |

If they try it, na 4 digit vote dem go get. With d kind of hatred d north already have 4 him because of Buhari, and his stand on d Fulani herdsmen. They will stone him if he campaign in their territory and APC will make d matter worse by reminding them that he ( fayose ) is an enemy. Fayose should better lobby 4 PDP chairmanship which has been zoned to d west. Garrithe1st: |

They have started again with their idolatry. Chasing after individuals and perceived messiahs. Selling their souls for utopia that will never come. When will Nigerians ever learn that individuals donot build nations, the collective will of the people does. Just as I warned in 2013, 14 and 15, a change of occupant in Aso Rock will not change Nigeria fundamentally and it is fundamental change that we need. Three years down the line what has changed fundamentally for heavens sake. Can any Nigerian boldly claim that this country is on the right path and with the end of any tenure we can conclusively claim whatever gains we have made as progressive and sustainable...no. It is the people that have to elect their 'minds to higher office', higher levels of thinking that will make them tackle the hardest challenges they face which primarily is how to live amongst themselves free of all hindrances, thus enabling them develop properly and sustsinably. No leader since independence has been able to do ths so why the fuss about changing them when the next will just be as useless or worse than the present. Have we ever had a better tomorrow in Nigeria...folks, I repeat again. CHANGE THE GAME, NOT THE PLAYERS. RESTRUCTURE NIGERIA NOW. |

On another post someone was alluding to the fact that Mr. President can remain abroad perpetually simply because there is nothing in our laws and statutes that says the leader of this nation must govern from within its borders only. I agree. But shouldn't these anomalies be the priorities of Nigerians and not who should occupy what office in 2019. Isn't it wise for a farmer to prepare the land properly for the next crop especially when the previous harvest was poor. I cannot understand Nigerians and their warped priorities. Just get the basics right and even a monkey can be sent to the moon. Our problems has been our structure not leaders. Every country on earth will elect a madman into office once a while but most are stable and progressive. We seek saint after saint yet plant those choice seeds in corrosive soils and wail when we get tares instead. We are so dense walahi. 1 Like |

Alexk2: spot on bro.... ...was also thinking how GEJ and Ibori can role in same boat seeing that the later is a member of the convention organising committee and the former is the laters political albatros. This is the kind of selfish and careless maneuvers the pdp is associated with. Instead of taking time out to address this and other issues plaguing the party, they are busy shouting 2019. In the end they will fight themselves to a standstill like we just witnessed recently. |
