the introduction of seedorf also boosted them. at old trafford the game would have been much more attacking
from united but now that carrick is out i'm not sure wat will happen as scholes is not too reliable and the fletcher does not
have the ability to play passes like carrick can. ref handed milan a lifeline with that red card.

what lifeline??Jose said a 7-man team can beat Milan.if UEFA allows it,we'll field 10 men and still bundle them out of Europe grin

So much noise about Becks not celebrating when he scores against Man Utd. I didn't see him touch the ball lest scoring. Was so impressed about the Youngster Rafael who marked out Ronaldinho. Please someone help me, what was Carrick's offence for the second yellow card?
Re: Champions League: Ac Milan vs Manchester United [2 - 3] on Feb. 16, Tue by Nobody: 7:29am On Feb 17, 2010
Worthless Milan team.
Didn't expect them to even score a goal.

Bunch of wasted, old players.
Ronnie was the only decent player on that team.

I must give it up to SAF though, the old goat is surely the world's best.

Only in your dreams will manscum score two goals at the sansiro. . .

Man U must go down
coming from DK when we were losing
Re: Champions League: Ac Milan vs Manchester United [2 - 3] on Feb. 16, Tue by tkb417(m): 7:36am On Feb 17, 2010
poo.ty Milan,

Man Utd kick then so Germany can snatch the 4 CL places from Italy Home and away

Chelsea also kick Inter Home and Away while Bayern takes care of Fiorentina Home and away too

Cant believe I would ever support Man Utd against any side(except Arsenal)

This came from DK again after we've massacred them
does this post correlate with what he posted above? na wa for Nairalanders oooo cheesy cheesy
Re: Champions League: Ac Milan vs Manchester United [2 - 3] on Feb. 16, Tue by tkb417(m): 7:38am On Feb 17, 2010
I wasnt really decided on this game. Both ways I win

I wanted Man Utd to kick them out home and away cos of the German 4 slots

I wanted Man utd to lose cos of the inherent hatred for them.

One had to prevail, Man Utd can still be kicked by someone else while Italy lose its spot also.

Milan losing today which might culminate in the slot loss and Bayern kicking Man Utd would be a double glory for moi

I guess Man utd is being preserved for the bigger humiliation from their Master - Bayern Munich
see explanation grin grin grin cos we did what they tot we couldnt do
UNITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Game Over

Great Game. We were very unlucky. The return leg @ old trafford would be a cracker.

Forza Milan!!!!!
yeah the return leg would be a cracker
4 goals will be picked in ur net!!!!
Re: Champions League: Ac Milan vs Manchester United [2 - 3] on Feb. 16, Tue by tkb417(m): 7:41am On Feb 17, 2010
All to play for in three weeks time
At 3-1, it was game over
but 3-2, more drama at O.T!
hahahahahaha
we scored 3 goals in San Siro, how many are we going to score at Home
assuming 3 goals, are you saying Milan will score 5?

pls go to ur archives and tell me when an european team scored 5 on our soil

even 3-1 cannot happen; 2-0 cannot happen.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE
even if they borrow Messi and CR9
they are dead!!!

Jose was right. . .a 7 man team can beat AC Milan.

At least I got two predictions right. . . cheesy
Dinho and Rooney both scored.  grin

Pato was a shadow of himself.
Re: Champions League: Ac Milan vs Manchester United [2 - 3] on Feb. 16, Tue by tkb417(m): 7:43am On Feb 17, 2010
But we still WON away from home.
I think United fans are too spoilt these days.

How many teams can go to a fully-packed San Siro and score 3 goals?
Give credits to the lads. U woulda taken 1-1 result after the 1st half when every player on the pitch had a stinker.

This tie is effectively over.
I hope Fergie starts Obertan, Owen, Fabio, Gibson and Diouf in the return leg at OT!

Mint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Obertan and co will get a draw

Here:

Cristalz:

He kicked the ball away in a bid to cover up Evra's foul on Pato.
Ref's foul elastic limit had been exceeded. Dude snapped, flashed red. grin

Who really cares, anyway.  .  .as long as we've got Fletch for the return leg, I'm super cool.

Rooney just keeps gettin' better.

Nani has got to go pay a private tutor for lessons on how to properly cross balls, especially in dire situations. First half, dude couldn't cross properly to save his life. At a point Rooney just got pissed. grin
He improved in 2nd.  .  .after a full dose of Fergie's hair dryer treatment, I'm sure.
I think Rafael did pretty okay, considering his main task was Ronaldinho. Old or not, dude's still got it.

@DK
I dey o, still very occupied. I'll be free again soon though.
Re: Champions League: Ac Milan vs Manchester United [2 - 3] on Feb. 16, Tue by tkb417(m): 7:47am On Feb 17, 2010
Nani wasn't rubbish. Our strikers were flat-footed.
Half of the crosses he supplied were good crosses but our performance was generally poor in the 1st half.
Valencia came in when Favalli was fazzed out. He is 38 years of age so the odds favoured Valencia to have him skinned. . . .Nani had to deal with Antonini.
NANI wasnt rubbish but his crosses were evil and stupid
check how Valencia crossed his ball
all Nani did was to send the ball to touchline or to the goalie

i think the Gaffer knows better cos the introduction of Valencia changed the fabric of the game

Rooney is now a demi-god
no striker like him on planet earth- at the moment
Re: Champions League: Ac Milan vs Manchester United [2 - 3] on Feb. 16, Tue by tkb417(m): 7:48am On Feb 17, 2010
Carrick was not on a yellow b4 the evil REF sent him off

The 3 players booked were Scholes, Rooney and Evra

UEFA shd slap tht REF cos the boi didnt warrant any sending off seconds to the end of the game
bastard

That slowpoke can't even spell Borat, not to talk of predicting a scoreline with a sense of perspective.

Did someone steal your ID?Is this BD for real? grin
~Sauron~:

Nani's interplay were brilliant at times.
He made no runs to attack at least 3 of Nani's excellent crosses.
Rooney is not decent in the air. . .Crosses have to be inch-perfect for Wazza and he should be working more on that aspect of his game at this level.
A striker like Ruud woulda made half of those crosses count. When a winger makes a cross and the strikers don't run to head the ball, the crosses become useless
Maybe Rooney can read Valencia's move more cos Antonio has a one-track mind.
He gets the ball, runs the ball to the bye-line and delivers a cross. Predictable. innit?
If Milan had an intelligent RB, Valencia woulda been useless but i think Valencia's introduction suited Rooney more than Nani that can be so unpredictable.
Sauron,
After the interplay,nko?
It's just like pre-intimacy without the real deal.
Rooney made no runs, but Nani shoulda been smart enough to interplay with Rooney (instead of Rafael),even if we all know Rooney isn't decent in the air.
Whether one-track or not,Valencia delivered the cross and rooney scored.
That's all that counts.
Nani's problem is consistency,I tell you.
He has to get out of this mental state where he feels he needs to match up to CR7.

Wrong,dude.
The ref awarded three yellow cards and one red card
Yellow cards - Rooney,Carrick and Ronaldinho
Red card - Carrick

If one is objectiv it is clear Nani had a poor game! Gud crosses can either b pinpoint or into a danger area BUT all Nani's crosses were in2 potential space,NO PINPOINT CROSS.Also he didnt hv d confidence 2 work Antonini in & out 2 get a better view of Rooney.his problem is obviously mental and he is d kind of player dt will benefit from cuddlin rather than d hairdryer

I would like to first congratulate Man U with that said I must say they rode well on their luck to get a win at san siro. A couple of factors worked against Milan

1 - WASTEFUL shooting in the first half. Gosh!!! those guys should have been up by at least 4 goals at the break. but they were always shooting wide.

2 - Referee's Ineptitude - Before y'all go gaga on me, the ref made a couple of questionable calls and didn't make a couple of a calls especially on ronnie- (BROS DINHO I DUFF MY HAT AND HEAD. your skills too much - old or not). Rafael had too much to handle in the first half. no wonder SAF decided to put three men on him in the second half.

3 - Antonini injury. The only reason why Nani was ineffective with his final cross was because this player always narrowed the angle well everytime nani was about to make a cross. Favali(38) is too old to cope with  Valencia and hence he had d liberty of making those good crosses.

4 - How can i forge Van der sar ? superb saves from pirlo and dinho was quite unlucky to let in the first goal

Truth to be told the better team lost yesterday but does not take away the quality that Man U possesses as a force to reckon with in club football world wide.

didnt know Carrick got a yellow o

Yea,the cameras showed Scholes after the tackle committed by Carrick.
Evra and Rooney were lucky to go scot-free

my thoughts exactly. when those comments came out i just laughed and wondered if he really expected to score.

nani is the best crosser at united atm. he just had a shocker yesterday and so did most of the midfield except for some spells in the second half. valencia delivered two decent crosses and apart from that he was pretty poor. also think rooney constantly gettin on nani's back doesn't help the guy but rather would dent his confidence.

Milan fans and anti-Man Utd should just keep their traps shut. 3 away goals for man-u!!! it will be like the roma game some seasons ago, ac milan will fall beyond what they expected in old trafford.
Glory glory United!
