And Anambra state govt cannot approach the FG to sell this facility to them (just like Lagos state govt approached the FG to sell all the abandoned stadium, Nations theatre and the Federal secretariat) so they can also start producing enough rice.

Did they give this gov any chance to do something about it? Or maybe the gov has to kill some Igbos youths in order to do something good for their regions.

The reason for the abandonment is simply because it's situated in the part of the country where FG has no interest. That's Nigeria for you.
Re: Rice Mill At Omor In Anambra Abandoned By FG by MXrap: 2:52pm On Aug 14, 2017
Anambra under Obiano have already developed 2 massive rice processing plants. FG should hand this one over to Obiano to put it to good use.

Well this could be a blessing in disguise for Anambra if their state govt could refurbish and takeover the mill. Hopefully the FG should not have anything against that.

Igbos fix your problem by yourself, if the mill is working, 99% of the staff would be Igbos.

We all know there is nepotism in the area of Employment favouring the Hausa/Fulani but in this case Nigeria before Buhari and drop of oil price has been spending huge amounts of dollars importing rice so knowing the kind of country we are in they will surely abandon the Mill. What about Ajaokuta still Industrial complex abandoned and so many FG building and facilities all over Nigeria.

........ Very useless comment, ur hate has blinded ur reasoning to the extent that u do not that know there are process to follow before u can tamper with FG properties and these people u mentioned is aware of the kind of politics FG play against the east, so they there not touch it or waste thier money as fg will come up with one policy to fraustrate it.

To be honest the truth might be too bitter but truth remains the truth. I will not blame Fed Govt totally for this because we as a tribe we were to complicated in all our dealings the North are in power and they will lobby for things to be done to their region, the SW will do same to make sure something happens in their region but my region any child from that region who manage to be in position of authority will be their only to play greed politics, running after contracts and if the contract was not given to them they will block other person from getting that contract and frustrated any govt efforts to do the right thing I'm tellng you the truth this is what is going on all these dude running to Abuja are goats take it or leave.

In addition to this this problem of hate and not ready to accept others in our land is another bloody nasty factors delaying development in our region, average Igbo man is not ready to cop-orate if other tribe has to have share or part in any serious Fed. projects in the East to cap it all we have always be at the rebellion end all the time so please how do you expect a country you are calling zoo or a country that it has always be in the mindset of a tribe to break to pieces since independence will now be investing heavily in such region? This is a big issue we need a ot to do and stop blaming Fed govt I'm not apc but talkng in general now Kanu came instead to be fighting with his life to force the Fed Govt to shift to East for serious projects he went on war mongering, abusive, threatening path please lets say the truth to ourselves bikonu.

Okorocha, Ngige, Onu, Nnamani etc that supose to stand their ground and say no development no apc n this region are the same who vow to die for Buhari and their region is left out decaying but busy looking for way to fall the entire East for apc the worst nightmare party in Nigeria History. If it was unabe to be done during Obj or Gej but what of now at least it has to start somewhere and the guy I was thinking has a common sense to pull the string was busy going around with IPOH slogan threatening everybody, abusing everybody is that how to fight for people's right please enough of all these nonsense.

I know those idiots called IPOOH will be shouting Biafra we want seen this now with no sense of reasoning as f it was Oduduwa that help the SW or it was Arewa that helped the North. All what is going on in those region are individual efforts not secessionist effort.

This was how Asari was calling Charly Boy old fools and he(Asari) sat their with his useless protruding belly like Hippo where was him when Gej was disgraced out of power by a fellow kinsmen called Bastard Amaechi, the billions the bloody Asari is boasting to have today please where did he got it from and he was calling someone a fool, is he not the biggest fool that he was paid in billions to abandon his MEND struggle and left his people to carrying on suffering.

This is very typical of political distractors at a time like this. They will try anything and everything to deceive people.

Resuscitation of Omor Rice Mill has started in earnest and our enemies are ver, very unhappy. Gov. Willie Obiano understands the importance of food security, employment generation, industrial investment and economic empowerment and development and has put Omor Rice Mill (abandoned for so many years) in the foreign burner of industrial revolution.

This modern rice edifice is spearheaded by Mr. Oliver Okeke of Josan Omor Rice Mill, producers of the continentally acclaimed JOSAN RICE in Ufuma, Anambra State, and with their Chinese expatriates and engineers, the nation will soon witness a revolutionary world-class rice mill in Anambra State.

Our political distractors do not like this laudable project and and doing everything to pull us down.

Please do not be deceived, Willie is Willingly Working, and will continue to work Willingly.

Ndi Anambra are very happy and will not succumb to sponsored agents who are doing everything to discredit our visionary and working Governor.

Ụmụ nne m, VOTE WILLIE OBIANO to complete the great work he inherited from PETER OBI
Ụmụ nne m, VOTE APGA, nke a bụ nke anyị
Ụmụ nne m, don't listen to anybody who is trying to destabilize anị Igbo

HERE IS PROOF OF ONGOING WORK AT OMOR RICE MILL - You can go there and see things for yourself . . .

Re: Rice Mill At Omor In Anambra Abandoned By FG by mapet: 3:36pm On Aug 14, 2017
Why don't we all make educated and rational submissions, instead of senseless one induced by unnecessary anger

1. Where are the certified record that says this rice mill is the biggest in Africa?
2. When was this rice mill first built? What was the agreed feed? Which farms were supposed to supply rice to this mill? I want to believe the govt that built this rice mill did not just build without a linkage with farm(s) for supply
3. Which states did the Anambra and the operator of this mill sign bilateral agreement with?

For those of you blaming PMB, it is just a crying shame that you have decided to sacrifice the little intelligence you have to embrace idiocy. This pictures show a dilapidated mill and not a new one. Which govt started it, you did not state. There was is a JOSON rice mill in Anambra, I guess, which I believe is Private sector driven. Is that not what your attention should be more focused on, that a somewhat ill-concieved project that many govts did not touch.

Finally, I think people should be able to understand what should ideally be news as against hate-inciting statements. This news has no value and was just mean to incite hate. It seem when we get hate-filled, we abandon reasoning......
