Nigeria And Change – Dat Igbo Girl Diary Writes by mezynaija(m): 12:00pm On Aug 15, 2017
Nigerian social writer and content creator, Oluchi Precious Ozofor popularly known as DatIgboGirlDiary on Instagram has got this to say about Nigeria Read below:

Nigeria! Nigeria!!. Green and white is the colour. Fertility and peace and of course unity! Did I just say unity? Nigeria has gone so biased. Everyone with his or her own opinion, that of your neighbour is regarded as counterfeit . Until when actually? Where are we heading to?

Politics has become the order of the day. Anarchy no longer exist per say because each individual must strive to belong to one party or the other.

We live in a country where the majority dominate and rule while the minority have no stand whatsoever. Until when Nigeria?

It has been the topic of the day 'change' Justice and tolerance is no longer heard of. Hmm.. Funny.

Everyone expected the so called change that was acclaimed to happen, but all to no avail, rather things got worst and corruption kept spreading like loose gas. Nigerians are tired.

A country of over a 160 million inhabitants sliding down with a poor economy really isn't a good turnout. Where exactly is Nigeria heading to? Recession has become the order of the day.

It's quite alarming that the currency of this great nation is starting to loose it value. Our youths now prefer to invest their capital else where .They'd prefer traveling out than start a lucrative business here in Nigeria. Until when Nigeria?

Nigeria has been clamoring for change and behold the "Saviour "arrived. Months passed by and all we could get was news of his recent trip from one country to the other. Of course Nigerians weren't happy about this.

A year passed by and the word "recession "surfaced in the Nigerian economy. Things rapidly 'changed '. Nigeria was now on the verge of division; That was when the word "Biafra" started to have meaning.

BIAFRA

Nigeria is seen as a country with great massive vision. Nigeria is indeed destined for greatness no wonder it is being tagged as the giant of Africa. Why then are we subjecting to division.

Biafra from the south eastern part of the country came forth. People tend to tag them as "igbos" while the Muslim's tag them as "iyamiris" .Biafra is starting to fight for their 'freedom' as they call it.

Now the country has indeed experienced the long awaited change. Division has being the topic of the day. Politicians are being apprehended here and there, some for embezzlement of public funds. Until when Nigeria? Until when??

AREWA YOUTHS AND BIAFRA

This two groups fractioned out with the sole purpose of splitting. Really!

It used to be all about religion. Now citizens now plunge matters into their own hands. We fight amongst ourselves and take matters into our own very hands. No more respect for people in authority again.

As a blogger you have to provide a news which favours a particular group or else you wont get a great number of "traffics" as they call it. Everyone for his or her own self. It use to be 'one for all and all for one, now it's 'everyone for his or her own self '.

Politics is now a niche. The president is nowhere to be found. Each day a false story is cooked up about his whereabouts and his plans for the country. Of course we have to believe. The ethics and code of the constitution is no longer put to practice. Questions are being asked; Answers are no where to be found.
