So u haven't got the clue that what the NK needs is a dragon. He saw a free one and aimed for it. Moreover, it is the dragon that was busy burning all his armies. There is also possibility that if he aimed at drogon it may be averted because there are well trained and professional soldiers there. It makes a huge sense dude.

Just because it says late 2018 doesn't necessarily mean it has to nov/Dec.....
It'll run for around a month and half..... And December doesn't really strike me as a month GoT will want to air their final season,September seems like the sweet spot to me.... It might even be earlier.
So you see...... After all is said and done,We're all just speculating and can't say for sure when it'll be.
The next few weeks might provide some clear answers though.

Uncle Benjen swoops in to save the day. Gets down, drags Jon unto his horse and cant get on it himself?? Only to come up with an excuse of "no time"?? Plothole number 2.

The suicide squad was able to catch up to the undead army within a day. And Gendry was able to run back to the wall within same day......but....but......The army has been marching on(towards) the wall for God knows how long now....i'm not understanding. Plothole number 3

There is a loophole, look at the scene Jon and the rest were fighting the White Walkers, the one they fought just before they captured the Wight they are taking to Kings Landing, one of the wildlings was fighting the air

1. Some walkers must have jumped into the water for something like a suicide mission or something, that scene met us halfway.

2. Uncle Benjen is already dead, he has a Dragon Glass on his chest that's why he wasn't turned to a Night Walker by the Wight King, instead he stays undead and he can't cross the Wall just like the Night Walkers, remember in season 6, he couldn't cross with Bran too.
