PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari, who is working from his residence, will today receive the reports on the probe of the director-general of National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and secretary to the government of the federation (SGF), both of whom are on suspension.

This is just as the federal executive council (FEC) which normally holds on Wednesdays has been billed not to hold today.

This is supposed to be the first FEC meeting since President Muhammadu Buhari came back from his 103-day medical vacation.

A presidential panel, headed by vice president Yemi Osinbajo, had investigated Babachir for alleged violations of law and due process in the award of contracts under the Presidential Initiative on the North-East; and Oke, for the $43.4m stashed away at a residential apartment at Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Other members of the investigation panel were the National Security Adviser, General Babagana Monguno (rtd) and the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.

On April 12, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) discovered $43.4m, N23.2m and £27,800 at an apartment in Ikoyi.

Oke had said the monies belong to his agency.

Lawal, was suspended over alleged fraud in the award of contract by the defunct Presidential Initiative on North East (PINE).
