Today's Federal Executive Council (FEC) Has Been Cancelled by holuwapopsh(m): 4:36pm On Aug 23, 2017
- The president is also expected to
receive the report of the investigation
committee into the allegations against
the suspended SGF Babachir Lawal and
the DG of NIA Ayo Oke The weekly meeting of the Federal
Executive Council will not hold today, August
23. Today's meeting would have been the first
to be presided over by President
Muhammadu Buhari since his return from his
medical vacation in the United Kingdom on
Saturday, August 19. Adesina however, said President Buhari will
receive the probe report on allegations
against the suspended Secretary to the
Government of the Federation, Babachir
Lawal, and the Director General of the
National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ayo Oke. He said: "The meeting of the Federal
Executive Council (FEC) will not hold today. President Muhammadu Buhari, will
however, receive the Report of the
investigation committee into the allegations
against the suspended Secretary to the
Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir
Lawal and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ayo Oke,
headed by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, at
12 noon, in his office.”Bashir Ahmad, the president’s special
assistant on new media, confirmed this on
Twitter, in reaction to speculations that the
president was working from home.
