Re: Commissioning of Edo Fertilizer Plant. The Edo Fertilizer plant managed by WACOT limited was built by Lucky Igbinedion's PDP government. The demunitive Ex Governor Adams Oshiomhole condemned the plant as scrap in his futile attempt to rubbish his predecessors. Even after nearly 9 years of neglect, Mr Uche Orji, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Sovereign Wealth Fund in January, 2017 when he accompanied the governor and investors to the plant said " with this type of facilities in the state, Edo State has been missing lots of opportunities with a factory like this. " Once the governor and the investors have agreed, I dont think it will take too long to get this plant running. " Our objective as the governor has mentioned, is to put raw materials into this plant and have it to start working." When ex-governor Adams Oshiomhole was sworn-in, in 2008, the factory was 100% ready. It will interest you to know that Governor Lucky Igbinedion had invited President Olusegun Obasanjo to commission the plant after a successful test run. All that was remaining was an investor. That lot fell on Gov Oshiomhole. But to fuel and maintain his false and negative narrative against his predecessors, Adams Oshiomhole abandoned and condemned the factory as scrap! Governor Adams Oshiomhole effectively "cut off his nose to spite his face" Today, Edo will begin to reap the fruit of the Labour of our Government past! We welcome Vice President Osinbanjo as he commissions this beautiful and economically viable project again! Congratulation Edo PDP! Congratulations to all Edo people! |

If our leaders see the Nigerian project as our project and not a personal project , we won't be where we are today? Why will a governor or president, abandon a job becos it was done by his precedessor cos he is from a different party.. If every president/governor has continued from what he met on ground, NIGERIA WOULD BE A DUBAI May proper sense fall on our Leaders |

oshomhole that talks carelessly Abandoning that project was the highest disservice done to Edo people like in Akwa Ibom State, Governor victor Attah (now in APC) Laid foundation stone for the commencement of Airport project, Independent power project and started some road projects, Akpabio came in, built and commission all for the benefit of Akwa Ibom people |
