CONSEQUENCES OF WAR :UNDERSTAND YOUR CHOICES. _WHEN THE HATE SPEECHES MATURE TO FULL BLOWN WAR NOTE THE FOLLOWING ABOUT THE PEOPLE YOU KNOW AND LOVE:_*

1. ```The 14 to 45 year old males will be bearing arms directly whether or not they like it. About half of them will die within the first year of conflict. At least 30% of females in this age range will be raped and probably killed.```

2. ```The bulk of 0 to 13 year olds will grow up as orphans. 10% will be killed in the first year and another 50% will perish from neglect in subsequent years.```

3. ```The population above from 46 to 65 years will have their dreams finally destroyed and will die out rapidly from lack of a will to survive the hardship and stress.```

4. ```The population above 66 years will have no support to survive and will die slow lonely deaths, some through starvation and neglect.```

5. ```Crime rates will multiply ten fold given the unbridled access to arms and ammunition. There will be no safe havens given current trends.```

6. ```Life expectancy will drop to 21 years from the current 47 years.```

7. ```If the conflict lasts longer than one year the worlds largest refugee problem would have been created. Nigerians will flee into Niger, Chad, Benin Republic and Cameroon. A one way journey for most as these countries are completely unprepared for the potential influx of humiliated Nigerians.```

8. ```Through CNN, Aljazeera, and other media houses we will become the global laughing stock with no idea of what next to do.```

9. ```Present day uncompromising voices will run away to safety. Shamelessly so. The afore mentioned victims will be drawn from ordinary folk.```

*No one (North, South, East, or West, etc) will be immune.*

A war in Nigeria as of today cannot lead to any of the above mentioned!

It will be likened to that of Myanmar or Rwanda as will be a case of Majority vs minority

and with the present sophistication of The Nigerian Armed Forces, absolutely nothing will be left upturned.

Those issuing quit notices upandan, those clamoring for secession and all tribalists fanning the flames of passion of hate even here in Nairaland. Calling a fellow citizen afonja, Igbo, iPod and other stupid names will not make for Peace. Just 1 week into the war, many will not have the means to even access Nairaland. No signal as bombs would have brought down telecommunication infrastructure, electric poles and power stations, and they may not even be alive to come here and call names. Yes they are currently beating the drums of war, but will they be dancing to the tune in the heat of it after 1 week?

People can be very daft!!
Let people make their choice about whether to remain Nigerians or not.. Woe unto that Nigerian who wants to fight the Igbo for choosing independence, kos the Igbos would surely defend themselves as they did in the late sixties.
All ethnicities in Nigeria should fight for their interests and leave Nigeria to fight for herself!
Re: When Nigeria Goes To War by lloydtruth: 8:51am On Aug 29, 2017
Why is it that the Yorubas are maliciously creeping in that word "war"? When did the call for referendum and self-determination equates to call for war? I know the Yorubas desperately want to see war and genocide against the Igbos but all their wishes shall return to them. Diabolic and devilish people, when the referendum finally comes, then you will know that the Yorubas are also interested in leaving Nigeria but you see them on a daily basis abusing the igbos as if they will live with the Hausa/ Fulanis when the igbos must have gone.
