That traffic control jobs will help to boost youth employment in Edo state. Edo state is more peaceful than Delta state as the tribes are more united. But in Delta state, it is Itsekiri and Ijaw trouble today, tomorrow it is Itsekiri and urhobo war, the next following days, it is Tompolo and Ayiri fighting over the spoil of oil money. Politicians in Delta state are prepared to LICK THE ASS OF THE OPPOSITION to float in Delta state. But in Edo state it is different. Even the last fracas in the Edo state house of assembly which saw the impeachment of the speaker of Edo state of Assembly, Hon Okonoboh and brought in Hon. Ajoto as acting speaker was copied from Delta state who earlier in the month impeached their speaker, Hon. Igbuya from Sapele constituency. In Delta state for example, there is no vibrant opposition party. It is either the ruling party that takes it all or NOTHING. All the opposition party in Delta state want to court or date the ruling party to enable them get the BOOTY of federal allocation. They do not want to offend their socalled PAYMASTER ( the governor ) But this is not so in Edo state and it is a disturbing anti-democratic culture. When governor Oshiomole was governor in Edo state despite his hardwork and progress he received severe attack from the opposition. Governor Obaseki, the current governor in Edo state is presently facing a vibrant opposition that is challenging him day by day. But in Delta state, all the politicians are looking for good face from governor Okowa to keep them afloat. Where is GREAT OVEDJE OGBORU OR EMERHOR OTEGA today? They have all gone underground after aspiring to be governor of Delta state. if it is in Edo state they will still be fighting the ruling PDP party without giving up. In Delta state, for example DEVE COLLECTION by Delta youth has now been legalized with governor Okowa turning a blind eyes to this wicked and corrupt act. From Effurun round up to Enerhen Junction down to Udu local government, it is all collection of illegal money, extortion of motorist by community backed youth. This is the reality in Delta state. But in Edo state such illegal levy act wherever it was existing have been dealt a big blow by the governor of Edo state and the Oba of Benin. In Delta state, there are situation where the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, or the Ovie of Udu come out in public to condemn illegal levy collection and ban it in their own domain but the stubborn youth in Delta state refuse to obey law. You see them hanging around mostly in Effurun round about to collect illegal DEVE to their own pocket at a time the state is crying for revenue to boost the development of the state. |
