Let’s Meet Him

Lot of people come and go in my life,
But this one has refused to go.
Meeting him was heavenly arranged by God,
That day I will never forget.

We started as roommate, then acquaintance, classmate, bed mate to friends, best friends and now family.
Two people from different background of life coming together to form a union,
And I thought that was only done by male and female but our friendship broke protocol.
Right from year 1 at our temporary accommodation in the University of Benin,
There the story started.

Let’s meet him.
Joshua Ogenerukewe Asih, dark in complexion with his glasses always looking and dressing like a deeper life, of course that what who he was.
He was different, weird is the right word, and focus.
Ready to make new friends, ready to learn and ready to play.
Nothing could stand on his way,
That is who he is.

Joshua Asih, turned Joshua Navi came into my life and wrote his name in my heart.
A unique personality he got, taught me certain things, all with love in his heart.
Even when I was a pain in his ass, insulted him, quarrelled with him, wished the session ended quickly so we could go our separate ways but God’s love kept us.
God wanted us to be together even when I tried walking away.
He had something in stock for us.

Joshua inspired me; his life style motivated me,
And the Livingstone you see today is as a result of the friendship I have with Joshua.
When I thought of giving up, he came and forced me to keep on believing.
He told me to follow my dreams and impact the people around me.
He transformed my life.

He is an Engineer, a graphic designer,
A game freak and a lover of God's word.
An Evangelist, a lover of Rap music,
An Artist and a lover of good books.
A teacher, a cook,
A counselor and a lover of good food.
He is the founder of Choose God and Grow Movement.

All I can say to you on your birthday is that I LOVE YOU.
If love is a crime, then I want to be guilty.
If loving a guy was a sin, then I want to commit it.
The same way Jesus loved the church and Peter loved Jesus.
Yes, that same way, I have loved him with the love of Christ.

The ladies couldn’t break us up.

But love kept us together.
