Nigeria's Minister of Information and culture is saying the standard of lives of Nigerians will improve as we are out of recession. How soon or possible is this?

Nigerians refuse to understand the obvious, which is that it takes time for any improvement in the standard of living of the masses to show.

It's not automatic. Government has to formulate the right policies and environment for growth

Lie Mohammed. The name says it all... The only people celebrating this recession exit are brainwashed fools. They are celebrating cooked up figures and not facts.
The real facts on the recession status are still in the market places where the prices of commodities are well beyond us, where joblessness and unemployment is increasing astronomically where the exchange rate has not improved.

The only time I will believe we are out of recession is when the dollar exchanges at 180 naira and when bag of rice sells at 8000 naira.

I smell false propaganda from the chief of false info.

Nigeria is out of recession, when pure water is still #10,even #5 is useless and worthless,it should be scraped out of the system.

Only the market prices knows it's fate.

The Naira would never be 180 to the dollar.

How long before you guys understand that it is not the number of exchange that determines the strength of a currency but the ease with which the equivalent is obtained by the larger society?

1 dollar = 107 Japanese Yen.

Does that mean the yen is weak?

1 dollar = 64 Indian Rupees.

Does this mean the Indian currency is stronger than the Yen?

6.48 Chinese Yuan to the dollar. Does this mean the Chinese currency is 6 times weaker than the dollar?

Do you guys ever analyse the data in front of you?

What we want is a stronger, productive economy suffering less fluctuations whilst the generality of the populace can work and provide the basics for their household.

We desire a higher standard of living which can only come with industry and social justice.

Exiting recession does not imply a fall in prices. It only suggests growth in productivity.

It can translate into provision of more jobs, can mitigate crime prevalence and should promote wellbeing.
