The Ossissa people worn then friendly but they never listen or even to pitty our Ossissa people. Our people start leaving in hunger due to fear of been killed by heardsmen in their farm namely, Abebono farm, Nmpichi, Ufechi and Abuuku, its at these point having been in hunger there became to desparate to farm to get what to eat to avoid hunger, it's at these point a guy called Bard-man was killed with his motocircle put on his dead body, likewise a young youth from Umudike and Umuawale district was slaughtered. Dear reader it was here the Ossissa Community vow to send them away because peace always goes for peace and there can't longer stay in hunger. Befor i submite, i will like to say a laughable word, when a farm owner came to farm by metting a fulani man he will, ''tell the owner of these farm not to come back to these farm again'' so my Nairalanders who is to blame the god, Ossissa Community or the Fulani.

A Fulani socio-cultural association, under the aegis of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, has called on the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Ibrahim Idris to investigate and arrest those behind the killing of Fulani herdsmen in Delta state.

The group also expressed dissatisfaction over the alleged non responsiveness of the Commissioner of Police in Delta state, Mohammed Ibrahim Zana and the state Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa.

While the herdsmen accused the Governor of not been proactive enough in responding to their plights; they also accused the Police Commissioner and his men of “denying the Fulanis justice.”

In the latest clash between the Fulani herdsmen and the farmers of Ossisa community in Ndokwa area of Delta state on 25th August, 2017, scores of casualties were recorded.

The herdsmen, however, claimed that the youths of the community were those who allegedly massacred their members and also killed over 60 of their cows, while raping their women in the process.

At a press briefing in Abuja on Friday, the National Publicity Secretary of the group, Malam Yusuf Musa Ardo, called on the police to ensure the killing of the herdsmen by their host communities is curbed.

Ardo said his group had received a petition from members of Alhaji Mohammed Bassa family and other Fulanis living in Delta state.

Of course two wrongs do not make right; thats why the president is calling for a cessation to these reprisals and counter reprisals; while encouraging ppl settle their differences through the courts and law enforcement agencies.
However, in reality the Fulani suffer and are vulnerable to exploitation due to their poor education and lack of exposure; they are often not taken seriously when they report such cases and are instead even taken advantage of by the police - of course, this is not to say there are no bad or evil ones amongst them.

If we should also consider that the average price of a cow is easily up to 200k and therefore an ordinary herdsman with a few herds of cattle would easily be the equivalent of a walking millionaire in the bush then it is not too difficult to imagine why they are often attractive targets of such exploitation.

Unfortunately, another reality is that whenever anyone fails to obtain justice, especially the Fulani with their culture of revenge; then the most likely option left for such person is to take the law into his hands - this is the basic problem behind the herdsmen vs farmer/community clashes; one side often fails to get justice and resorts to taking the law into their hands.

Unless we can resolve this inequity; there will be no peace.
