according to Yoruba custom,one of the reasons why female Yoruba greeting of kneeling is generally accepted no matter the situation, is whenever they go down on their kneels in prayer or as a form of pleading or greeting, they do it abruptly,and the sound their kneels make when they touch ground makes the males thing they are hurting themselves to please us.
