Auto-determination Or Auto-destruction? by Uchecarlo: 2:21am On Sep 15, 2017
AUTO-DETERMINATION OR AUTO-DESTRUCTION?
Some people think they are more interested in the Biafrian independence than others are. But they are wrong! That some people do not parade the roads of the South Eastern States naked and with bottles of beer, with drums and gongs does not mean they do not need independence, and it does not even make those who do so more interested than those who do not. Again, that some people do not stand on poorly maintained buses, or crowd into faulty lorries, tippers and trailers does not make those who do so more enthusiastic about Biafra. The difference is that while some act emotionally and sentimentally, others try to apply prudence and wisdom, considering the seriousness and sensitivity of the issue in question.
The on-going operation PYTHON DANCE II (EGWU EKE II) is an indication that the pursuit of the Biafrian independence is a vital and serious matter. Biafrianism is a political issue and must be followed and pursued politically. During the emergence of Boko Haram, Jonathan did not ask the pythons to dance. Why now? This should be a very big lesson for all of us. We should not create room for our people to keep suffering. I was thinking before going public, we should have had a round table deliberation to do some important groundwork, and define things. The first and essential step is to come together and speak with one voice and one mind. IPOB, MASSOB and others should team up since they are fighting for the same aim. Or, are they fighting for different scopes? Those senators and (dis)honourable men and women from the South East representing themselves in the National Assembly, are they ready to forgo their selfish interests and work for the common good of the Biafrans? How about the Biafran business men and women? Are they willing to invest in the South East? A house divided against itself can never stand.
By allowing division among ourselves, we offer others (enemies) the opportunity to penetrate and pull us down. Again, we should define who and who are part of the Biafra. Since Biafra is a political matter, we should think politically. We must begin by founding and building a Biafran party. If APGA is that party, then, we should build it up, elect Biafrans and send them to the National Assembly, where decisions are made and laws passed. We must ensure true Biafrans govern the entire South Eastern states. Europe, America, United Nations and other International bodies are not in a haste to intervene. Do not ask me why. It is time to go indoors and plan properly. If we do not change our methodology, we might be fighting for our auto-destruction instead of auto-determination.
