So i wonder is it a sin that a Gee boy doesn't pay his tithe as at when due?

Tithe is a percentage of money made by legit means, without compromising your Christianity. I am just understanding that only sincere people should pay tithe and though the tithe is paid to a local church, its as good as paying to God Himself.
