Kaduna to construct 50mw solar plant By Daily Nigerian - September 21, 2017 0 55      The Kaduna State government says it has concluded plans to construct 50 megawatts solar plant at Kafin Ganye in Igabi Local Government Area of the state. Ibrahim Hussaini, director-general, Kaduna Geographic Information Services, KADGIS, made this known in a statement issued in Kaduna on Thursday. Mr Hussaini said the construction of the solar power plants would boost the economic growth of the state and the country at large, especially for the smooth running of companies and individual businesses. He said KADGIS had carried out an assessment and evaluation of economic trees on the proposed site and the state government had already paid N200 million as compensation to land owners. “The assessment and evaluation started a few years ago and now that everything has been taken care of, the government will proceed with the project,” he said. The director-general called on the host community to embrace and support the project to ensure it succeeded for the good of all.
