Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has told Nigerians that the health status of President Buhari is a private matter and any information regarding it cannot be divulged by anyone even if the state (government) is paying for his medical care.

According to him, President Buhari is under no obligation to disclose his health status. Recall that President Buhari returned from the UK in August after a long stay for medical care for an undisclosed ailment.

Lai Mohammed had an interview with AFP today where he was asked why the health status of president Buhari has not been made public.

I don't know whether the constitution stipulates that any incumbent ailing president should disclose his sickness.

Anything less than this, we should cut our President some slacks. He's a human being. Any body can fall sick. Get well soon Baba.
