Nansense!! All this is tautology, and a bunch of silly excuses put forward by lazy HR practitioners and recruiters, who do not want to do their jobs properly. As long as a resume is attached, a HR person is expected to go through it and review it for clarity, in order to determine if the candidate possesses the skills, expertise and experience necessary for the specified role. These days, there is an overdependence on HR software that skims a person's application in order to pick out buzzwords or specific phrases or words that correlate with the kind of expressions, the HR people want to see or hear. Instead of using the software as just an aid, they have relied upon it as a selection process to do their work for them.

So simply because a person says "Please find attached my resume," you would then trash his application and the attached resume, just like that? As a HR person you could be missing out on hiring the most qualified person for the post. Just my 2 cents.
