Brother/Sister, I am actually both. Because I believe Christ' promise of salvation, I then live my life in gratitude....having been transformed by the renewing of my mind which is in Christ Jesus (Romans 12:2) KJV. If I then truly love Christ, then I will keep His commandments (John 14:15) KJV. So when I love God, then I should treat my fellow man in the same manner....which takes an "action"...a heart transformation. So you see, it''s not really an "either" /"or" type of thing. Just as if you love someone, then your actions would show it.... I "do" good works because I "am" saved....NOT to "get" saved. I can never do anything to earn salvation for it is a gift from God. 1 Like |
