According to police authorities, two gunmen riding on a motorbike last night attacked mobile policemen guiding the residence of Alhaji Coomassie, a Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), who served as IGP between August 1, 1993 and May 29, 1999. Coomassie is the Sardaunan Katsina and Chairman Arewa Consultative Forum.
