I came across a voluminous list of flood victims in madobi LG in kano and I was shocked. According to the person I saw the list with, it was meant to be submitted to the government but I couldn't confirm whether it was govt that requested for it. I'm still wondering because I have not heard of any tangible flood in kano in recent time. Naija! I hail oooo when did that flood that affected 4448 people happened and no news about it?

Ok. Back in January Nimet forecasted that there would be flood in Kano this year, but I haven't yet seen any report of actual flooding in Kano this year.

That depends on the state governments and how they choose to respond to the emergency. The Federal Government gave 1.6 billion naira to states that were affected by this year's flood to help them cope with the effects.
