The Nigerian Law School on Saturday released the summary of the final examination results conducted in August.

Chinedu Ukekwe, Head of Information and Protocol of the Nigerian Law School, in a statement said 1,272 candidates failed out of a total of 5,891 that participated in the examinations.

The candidates who failed represented 21.6 per cent.

“29 students made First Class, 211 Second Class Upper, 1,046 Second Class Lower.”

He said 2,999 got a Pass, while 334 came out with conditional Pass.

4,285 candidates were successful and will be called to the Nigerian Bar.

A further breakdown of the results showed 72.7 per cent passed, while those with conditional Pass represented 5.7 per cent.

Ukekwe in the statement revealed that the “Call to the Bar ceremony for the successful candidates will hold on November 28 and 29 in Abuja”.

Why wont they fail? You will pity some lawyers and ask pertinent questions when they appear before some judges. Some cant even make two sentences correctly yet they are called lawyers.Some cant even present their cases well. Most of them when to earn that certificate to just survive and defraud people with dubious intent. Nigeria na wa!
Re: 1,272 Fail Nigerian Law School Exam by bennexboy(m): 11:58am On Oct 22, 2017
For the person asking,a conditional pass means that the aspirant failed just one of the five courses,he/she has to do a resit next year and take the course he failed for a second time. However,if the person failed Professional Ethics and Skills then he has to retake the whole five courses.

I'm grateful to God,I was successful. It wasn't by my power but by his grace. Call to Bar at ICC come 29th of November.Y'all are invited.

what school did he get admitted to? The thing about medicine is that the end will justify. If he's not good enough, he'll eventually get dropped.

25,000? Isnt that too small? Why look for someone with an NYSC certificate, when a computer operator with ssce can fit in properly?

What I mean by merit is that of you pass from your faculty of law even f it's with a third class as you have rightly said, you will not be deprived of attending law school, if you fail ,you will not be taken

Actually no. Law school grading is very unusual. You are graded with you lowest grade, so;

5As-first class; 4As and 1B+ is a 2:1; 4As and 1B is a 2:2 and 4As and 1C is a pass.

Basically a 2:2 could be 5Bs and a pass could be 4As and 1C or 3As, 1B+ and 1C.

Can you prove it? Do you have any document showing the law school's policies openly grading students with their lowest scores?
