Introduction
• In his 3 1/2 years in the office, His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano
has executed numerous projects with far reaching impacts all over the
State;
• This document tries to capture some of his achievements in each of
the 179 Communities in the State;
• His Excellency’s other achievements that benefits the entire Ndi
Anambra was summarily outlined.
His Excellency’s Statewide Achievements
• In over three years of his administration, His Excellency has undertaken the following
projects (under the Pillars and Enablers) with statewide impact for the benefit of the
Ndi Anambra;
• Security:
 Adopted the use of leading technologies and equipment(drones, patrol vehicles,
helicopters and weapons) to fight crime in our State;
 Chased away kidnappers and have ridden the State of criminals;
 Positioned, Anambra as the safest State in Nigeria;
• Education:
Embarked on massive construction and renovations in schools completed 309 units
of 5-classroom blocks in Primary and Secondary Schools and 60 State-of-the-art
science laboratories across the State;
Set up programs specifically targeted towards empowering and educating our girls in
many communities;
Presented scholarship awards to our indigent students, displaced persons and the
physically challenged students;
Employed additional teachers and equally ensured the continuous training of
teachers for improved quality education delivery;
Healthcare:
 Constructed additional hospitals/healthcare centers across the state to boost
healthcare delivery;
 Rehabilitated/completed/equipped existing hospitals and healthcare centers;
 Set up the Anambra State Health Emergency Rapid Response Service to tackle
crisis;
 Established a Cardiothoracic, Renal Dialysis & Mammography Centre in
General Hospital Onitsha and trained medical staff;
• Transportation:
 Revamped the ailing Transport Company of Anambra State (TRACAS);
 Set up the City Cab scheme with 200 vehicles in the first phase;
 Introduced the Anambra Red Bus project which goes for as low as N100 to any
destination across the State;
 Provided additional buses for our civil servants to ease movement;
 Distributed speed boats to enhance movement in riverine areas;
Power/Electricity:
 Implemented the Light-Up-Anambra initiative by installing new streetlights and
rehabilitating old ones across the State to eliminate crime;
 Procured and installed transformers many communities;
 Flagged off a power plant project in Umerum to boost supply of electricity in
the State;
• Environment:
 Purchased sanitation equipment including Innoson compactor trucks;
 Desilted drainages, provided waste bins at strategic places, ensured prompt
evacuation of wastes, and de-vegetated major streets and roads throughout the
local govt. areas;
 Liaised with foreign partners to combat erosion sites such as the previously
eroded Onitsha Expressway;
 Installed colorful festive decorations-the first of its kind in the State;
Housing/Urban Development:
 Flagged off the construction of 10,000 housing units in the State in
partnership with Affordable Building Concepts International Ltd.;
 Commenced work on 17 Housing Estates including Ngozika Housing Estate
Phase 2, Awka and Obinwanne Estate amongst others;
• Roads and Bridges:
 Completed three imposing Flyover Bridges of at Amawbia, Kwata and Aroma;
 Constructed/completed Pedestrian bridges at Uga Junction, Okpoko Junction,
MCC by-pass, Tarzan Junction Enugu-Onitsha Express Way;
 Awarded over 400km and rehabilitated exiting ones;
 Strengthened the Anambra Road Maintenance Agency(ARMA) to drive our
Zero-Tolerance to Potholes initiative;
• Women & Children Affairs:
 Constructed new maternal and child Health centers and rehabilitated existing
ones;
 Distributed free agricultural tools and farm inputs to women in the rural
communities across the 21 Local Government Areas;
 Empowered numerous physically challenged persons on various vocational
skills and provided them with start-up equipment;
Reforms & Institutions:
 Restructured the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and
initiated e-processes in the Civil Service to boost public service delivery;
 Set up the Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra Agency (OCHA Brigade), to
enforce discipline and compliance to government policies in the State;
 Revamped existing institutions and set up new bodies to drive government
policies such as: Awka Capital Territory Development Agency(ACTDA),
Anambra Small Business Agency(ASBA), Willie Workforce, Anambra Traffic
Management Agency (ATMA), Anambra State Physical Planning Board
(ANSPPB) etc;
• ICT:
 Automated our revenue collection strategy to instill efficiency/orderliness in
the collection system, plugging leakages and ultimately increasing the Internally
Generated Revenue of the State;
Airport/Seaport
 Flagged off construction of the Anambra International Cargo Airport;
 Commenced plans to develop a blueprint for a world class seaport in the State;
• Agriculture:
 Attracted over US$1.2bn in agriculture (60% indigenous, 20% domestic
and remainder international);
 Commenced the export of Anambra agricultural produce-including the
famous Anambra rice, ugu, etc;
 Established a tractor hiring centre at Omor and have invested in many
hectares of land for mechanized agriculture;
 Partnered with various private entities to establish virile industries that will
process and utilize our farm produce;
• Oil & Gas:
 Partnered with Orient Petroleum to commence exploration process of Oil & Gas;
 Constructed the access road and bridge from Umueje to the Oil Well Heat at
Aguleri-Otu;
Trade & Commerce:
 Constructed shopping malls and provided infrastructure in Onitsha, Ikenga,
Nnewi, and other markets in the state;
 Commenced the construction of our international airport to facilitate
movement of people and goods thereby increasing economic activities in the
State;
 Commenced plans to establish a free trade zone in the state where industries
can operate with tax breaks and will largely serve as a vehicle for poverty
alleviation through its unprecedented employment potentials;
• Industrialization:
 Creation of a new agency ANSIPPA, solely responsible for promoting,
protecting, monitoring, regulating and facilitating investments in the state;
 Flagged off the construction of a 40-megawatt embedded power generating
plant in Ogbaru which is strategically located near the Onitsha industrial layout
to ensure that industries in the harbour get the required power to operate at a
maximum capacity.

The Airport is a investment contratct with the Chinese. Beside, you don't expect him to start the project now during election period. Let's give him a chance to do this

Your prevous post on naiaraland shows you are in support of APC and Tony Nwoye. So You prefer to vote for Tony Nwoye who is a known cultist that burnt down anambra state broadcasting service and helped the Ubahs kidnap Chris Ngige when he was the governor. A diabolical bloodsucker who was rusticated from UNN because of cultism. You want us to vote for an APC governor who will come and build statues of African leaders and owe salary of workers.
