Our attention has been drawn to a very provoking , nauseating and nonsensical article purportedly written by the Voice of Igbanke. Ordinarily, as a group of very responsible, learned, progressive and sane minded individuals we would have ignore it and treat it like as used tissue paper that should not be accorded with any value because the fictitious author was not bold enough to mention his name and who he is representing.

In the first paragraph of the said article, it was well asserted that the youths are leaders of tomorrow only if there is a succession plan , In as much as we agree with such dialectics but we take exception to all other facts stated therein and the intention of the writer. No society grow with the elimination of elders. They are citadel of wisdom and an embodiment of experience and their role in the development of the local community is very sacrosanct and If there is even any intention to totally remove the elders for taking us backward the succession plan we would clamour for will be for those who have never been a part of such backwardness. The old are actually going to give way to the younger generation as opined by the writer , but it is going to be a generation of very responsible youths. Youths who know the way, who can show the way and go the way. A youth who has proven worthy in the assignment given him to him before. A youth who respects elders. An intelligent , well enlightened, exposed and progressive youth. Youths with excellent spirit, youths with good moral and mental rectitude. Certainly, not bunch of unholy renegades who are desperate for Power, Money and influence to the extent of declaring war on their fathers.
