Working as a sickle cell warrior might be so demanding but with the help of other workers the pressure and demands will be minimal, so here are few tips for workers to help sickle cell warriors (courtesy sickle cell foundation Nigeria)

#1 (Employees)
Employees living with sickle cell should discuss their needs with employer. This will help the employer know how to get the best out of you. Many employees with SCD are already proactive in managing their own condition and may require few if any adjustments.

#2 (Employers)
Common adjustments may include identifying with the employee how they would like a sickle cell crisis to be managed if one occur in the workplace.
NB: Ensure that you have basics in medical aid in the workplace (e.g first aid box) so an employee has access to this in case they need drugs for quick relief.
