SLUG: ANYAEHIE’S TISSUES OF LIES AGAINST PDP, IHEDIOHA

It was the legendary reggae maestro, Robert Nesta “Bob” Marley that sing the song- tell the children the truth, while the bible as the tenet of Christian life said in the book of John 8:32 you must know the truth and it is only the truth that will set you free while Othoman Danfodio, an Islamic scholar and crusader sees truth as a constant factor just as Journalism tells you that comment is free but facts are sacred. These entails that you cannot kill the truth.

The essence of the above scenario is to demonstrate and justify the importance of truth in all human endeavours. It is unfortunate, that in Africa especially Nigeria, some perceived political leaders like Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie has assumed political strategies to include filthy lies cum falsehood, blackmail, propaganda and insult on an assumed political enemy or enemies, detractor or detractors. This is absolutely wrong because one of the legal dictums says he who goes to equity must go with clean hands.

It is equally worrisome, when somebody who wears the toga of political leadership dishes out tissue of lies, probably to score an interim political benefits. It is a natural law that all that goes around will later turn around. This is the case of Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie, self acclaimed authentic factional Imo State Chairman of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in his recent press conference held in Owerri.
Anyaehie in that conference claimed to the utter most surprise and embarrassment of PDP members, party supporters and concerned Nigerians that he is the authentic Chairman of PDP in Imo Sate. This he truly knows is a falsehood from the pit of hell. I wonder what his soul was telling him when he wrote the text that was read on his behalf by one of his purported allies in politica crime, Sir George Egu who has assumed the posture of a despot in political party leadership and structure.

For Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie to claim that he and members of his accomplice are the authentic Imo State Leadership of PDP, it is either he is deceiving himself, or that he has murdered his soul or that he is on a deliberate mission to ridicule or cause confusion in the party or that he is singing the discordant songs of his alleged pay master(s).

Barr. Anyaehie claimed that he emerged as the authentic chairman of Imo State PDP based on alleged congress conducted on the 17th and 18th of May, 2016. It is on record that PDP held a National Convention on May 21st 2016 under the National Chairmanship of H.E Senator Ali Modu Sheriff in Port-Harcourt in all the documents persecuted by the National Leadership of the party that concerned Imo State no name or names was registered as Imo State Exco member or members. Imo was noted as a state yet to conduct their state congress and INEC in their report stated the same. So why feeding the people with falsehood?

The only authentic state congress organized as directed by the National Leadership of the Party was held on August 8th, 2016 and this was monitored by INEC in the state and three of their directors from their Abuja National Head office. The result of that state congress is an issue in the public domain with INEC Imo State and National Headquarters office of the electoral body. You can even Google it from INEC website to authenticate the truth.
As a mark of endorsement and acceptability of the party’s national directive to Imo State chapter of the party, the digital brochure printed by the National leadership used in the conduct of the party’s recent Special Non Elective National Convention held in Abuja on Saturday 12th August, 2017, it was the name of f Charles Babatunde Ezekwem that was recognized as the Imo State chairman of PDP as well as all the members of his present state executive. The same is applicable to Chief Ezekwem’s leadership line up in the 27 council areas of the state. The document is there for everybody’s verification and authentication.

Why is it that neither the name of Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie non the name of any of his factional surrogate leader appeared in that document as he is claiming to be an authentic, Chairman of Imo State PDP. It is pertinent to state that by his claim, it is only obvious that Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie and his cohorts are acting as impostors. Thus why, political pundits and analysts are asking, what really does Anyaehie, Sir George Egu, Barr. Enyinnaya Onugbu and other of their co-travelers want again in Imo State PDP leadership?
Is it not better they tell themselves the gospel truth and equally stop deceiving some gullible members of the public and the party stakeholder. The time for deception, methinks have gone and the most honourable thing to do is to tell the people the truth. You can never be relevant in politicsl by feeding people with filthy lies. It can survive temporally but with devastating effects.

Lets us test this simple litmus test, can Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie and his acclaimed Imo State executives of PDP go to Wadata House now to meet the Chairman, National Caretaker committee, H.E. Senator Ahmed Markafi and introduce himself as the Imo State chairman of PDP and his cohorts as members of the state executive? Definitely, he has not done that and of course he knows that he cannot do it. Why because, he knows if he does it, the implication is that he wants to usurp the party leadership through the backdoor. It is like he is being sponsored to polarized and weakened the party, if not why can’t they respect themselves?

Moreso, PDP is organizing a national convention by 9th of December, 2017, the essence is to elect their national chairman and other national executive members that will steer the ship of the party for the next four years. Already about 10 persons are jostling for the plum job of National Chairmanship of the party. All the aspirants are moving about from one state to the other soliciting for support, co-operation and acceptance. Have any of these plethora of aspirants visited Barr. Anyaehie at No. 49 Okigwe Road Secretariat? The answer is in the negative because they are aware that Barr. Anyaeihe and his cohorts are fake PDP State leaders and therefore cannot produce delegates list from Imo State while contrarily Ezekwem group has been playing host to the aspirants on weekly basis.
Another pertinent issue is that assume there is directive for primaries now, where will Anyaehie group and loyalist obtain and submit their nomination forms? Will their aspirants or candidates ever be recognized or registered by INEC? The answer is definitely, no!. Therefore, in all these impasse, what does Anyaehie and his co-travelers really want?

On H.E. Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha (CON) Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie said “we must recall that since the unfortunate loss of the 2015 governorship election in Imo State, our former candidate, WHO EMERGED IN CLEARLY CONTROVERSIAL CIRCUMSTANCES instead of being a shield for the defence of our party, has irredeemably become a sword for decapitating the solidarity, unity, peace and progress of the PDP in Imo State”.

This is a demonstration of ingratitude coming from a person who supposed to be a political party leader. It is an obvious truth that without God and the likes of Emeka Ihedioha, PDP would have gone into extinction in Imo State since after the 205 elections. I am not a fan of Ihedioha, but the truth must be told, Ihedioha has been galvanizing and mobilizing for the party. He picks all the party bills to ensure sustenance and restoration. He calls meetings of the leaders regularly, he organizes programmes for the party members and faithful so that they will not look deserted. He rented and furnished their offices and sponsors their trips to national conventions and meetings. He has made enormous financial and personal sacrifices to the party in the state than any person died or alive. He contributes immensely in the payment of monthly staff salaries.

Contrarily, Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie, when he was the party chairman, was said to be a misnomer. This was a party chairman who never pick calls. Till date, he does not tolerate visitors in his private residence even as he also instructs his gate men not to receive any letter or invitation from anybody on his behalf. This is a man who is not media friendly, very arrogant and pompous. He has a chieftaincy title as Eze Umuokorobia (king of the youths), but the truth remains that Barr. Anyaehie is known to be anti-social, always suspicious and afraid of death. Probably due to the fact that he was born with golden spoon. His father, late Chief Nnamdi Anyaehie spoilt him with wealth thus he sees every other person as a beggar probably coming to exploit him. Yes! He is intelligent but his human relationship is zero.
From all intents and purposes, Anyaehie was not a politician he was coerced into politics by those who thinks he could be liberal with his inherited wealth through politics, but alas, they were wrong. For ever elected or appointed Barr. Anyaehie as Imo State PDP Chairman in 2012 was a mishap to the party leadership, thus why his infantile leadership was engrossed with crises. He could be a good businessman riding on his father’s goodwill but definitely he is not a material for political party leadership.

Secondly, to have ascertained that H.E. Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha gubernatorial candidature of the party in 2015 was gotten through controversial circumstances is a personal indictment to Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie.
Every Dick and Tom who participated in that governorship primary knows that Anyaehie was totally in-charge from screening of delegates to their voting and the counting. Therefore, any ill - executed was borne and perfected by him as a major accomplice. Consequently, if there is any one to crucify, it must be him. I am happy he is now telling us part of his roles that made PDP lost Imo governorship election after being in the saddle for uninterrupted 12 years. What a party Chairman…?

Thirdly, Barr. Anyaehie is equally aware that he is yet to give account of several millions of Naira, Dollars, Euros and Pounds Sterling that RT. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha campaign organization gave him few days to the election for disbursement. He who goes to equity must go with clean hands where then lays his prudence and accountability mantra?

Fourthly,is it a good omen that under Anyaehie’s Chairmanship PDP for the first time lost Imo State governorship seat? Surprisingly too, the party lost not only in his ward but also in his Nkwere State Constituency. This is enough for any perceived leader with conscience to bury his or her head in shame, but Anyaehie’s, arrogance may probably not allow him .

It is paragraph 25 of his statement that he told the world and the party leaders his selfish mission and vision
According to him “Consequently, we wish to inform our leaders, stakeholders, officials, members and supporters to be on guard against the divisive machinations of Chief Emeka Ihedioha, and his co-travellers led by “Ezekwem group” as we prepare to campaign with Hope for the victory of our great party in Imo State and Nigeria come 2017 by the grace of God Almighty”.

It is imperative to let Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie to know that he does not have the capacity to determine to Imo people who will govern them in 2019. It is equally important for Barr. Anyaehie to know that in life, he can never act God.
